Built from 1970 through 1976 the Duster was marketed by Chrysler to compete with Fords Maverick and the AMC Hornet. It was considered a compact car for the time and there were numerous trim options available. They marketed it towards economy, capacity and performance. It was built on the Valiant Chassis. This particular model comes out of long-term ownership where the car underwent a restoration over twenty years ago. It has had very little use since then and still shows... very nice. This is a driver quality restoration with the original strait six engine was replaced with the more powerful and bullet proof 318 V8. The car sounds very nice and starts up perfectly. These mid-70's "Muscle Cars" have struggled for years trying to find their identity. However, now that the market has taken the original muscle cars out of reach financially for most, these are the next in line to reach some collectability potential. And at this price, you can just show it regionally and enjoy it.
