The magazine did a photo shoot of the car and will be featuring the car in the magazine in a few months. Original spare tire has never been on the ground. In all reality it's way nicer in person than in the pics and has to be seen to appreciate it. This 1974 Roadrunner was ordered by the original owner in the spring of 1974, and was delivered to him in August. The powertrain combo of the 318 2bbl and 4 speed transmission is the rarest in model year 1974, only 212 were built. The car was ordered with a Gold Halo vinyl top, production numbers show this option as 0% production. As Chrysler rounded to the nearest point 1 percent of production, there were less than 9 built with this option. The car is a V88 Stripe delete car with manual front brakes and steering. With the spinnaker white body, gold top and deluxe gold interior, console 4 speed and dual exhaust with bullet tips it’s quite the unusual Road Runner. It must have been a hot fall in Virginia in 1974, as by October of that year the owner had the dealer install air conditioning. It was converted to R134a and still blows Ice Cold! He carefully drove the car and it was stored in his garage its entire life. It was a 1 owner car until he passed away in 2012. The family kept the car for a few yrs before selling it. The car currently has just over 46,000 orig miles. The Road Runner still has it’s original voltage regulator, ignition control module, alternator, spark plug wires and carburetor. The under hood paint and all accessories are original. The heater hoses, radiator hoses, clamps, and a decal were replaced along with the exhaust. The interior is completely original and shows excellent. The vinyl top was replaced in 2015, windshield was replaced in 2016. Exterior paint appears to be all original with exception of possibly the driver side rear quarter panel. The original spare has never been mounted on the car.
