Description of 1975 Plymouth Gran Fury Brougham |
INTRODUCTION AND DESCRIPTION You are viewing my 1975 Plymouth Gran Fury Brougham. This vehicle has a 400 cu. in. engine with 2 barrel carburetor, three speed TorqueFlite automatic transmission.. It has 81,027 original miles, original paint with factory-applied pinstrips, and the very desirable road wheels (including spare). I am the second owner. Vehicle spent its entire life in middle Missouri before I purchased it. FIrst dgists of VIN arePP29M5D.As a Brougham model, it is very-well equipped from the factory (see copy of window-sticker in last photo): A06 - Easy order package with numerous options, H51 - airconditioning (not blowing cold), and W23 - option code for 5 road wheels. Other luxury features include, Power windows, Power locks, Power steering, Power Brakes, and Cruise Control (holds speed but fluctuates in a 2-3 mph range).. It also has the one-year-only Opera Window (other years' models had padded roofs) and its original vinyl roof. Brightwork is in very good shape. The nterior is clean, seats have sun-fading but otherwise no defects, dash is immaculate and the headliner is perfect. Original trunk mat is still glued to the trunk floor. I pulled up one corner noting surface rust stains underneath but zero rust-through. You will need new tires. Existing tires are over 10 years old and unusable for any daily driving of any kind. This is a used car and it has imperfections consistent with its age and actual usage. Small stone-chip defects in windshield and front end, road rash in front of rear wheel openings on both sides, driver-side front wheel well opening is damaged on leading edge, and there is a small blister on driver-side just behind the rear wheel well opening at very bottom of quarter panel. This Gran Fury Brougham is just a nice, highly original Mopar cruiser. In two short years the venerable C-body Furys like this one would be gone forever after the 1977 models.. Ihope it finds a good home with someone who appreciates it in its own right and the era it represents.
