Description of 1974 Plymouth Road Runner 2dr hardtop |
1974 Plymouth Road Runner, 440 Magnum (originally a 400 magnum car), auto, bucket seats, console/ slapstick. This is a real Roadrunner. I've owned this car since 1988. This is a rust free Oklahoma/Texas car. Please read this ad fully as there are additional parts that come with the car and lots of detailed information: Specs/Options (see fender tag photo):400V8, auto, bucket seats, console/slapstick, A/C, PS, PB (disk front), rear swaybar, 8 3/4 rear end (3:23 open) . This is a very highly optioned car as you can see by all the codes on the fender tag. Body - Car was stripped to bare metal and painted in its original color in 2004 with ppg paint/clear coat. The body is arrow straight with the exception of a minor dent I put in the front valence while towing the car. The body work and paint alone would cost the reserve price I'm asking or more. Trunk pan has some pinholes, but easily repairable. Interior- Seats were reupholstered, carpet and headliner replaced before I bought the car in 1988 (not original materials). I have all the interior parts (door panels etc...) though they need to be replaced. Dash is cracked (see pics). Console/shifter is in nice condition. Engine - 1967 steel crank 440, rebuilt in the early 90s with less than 5k miles on engine. Bored .040 over, balanced, forged TRW six pack pistons, moly rings, rods resized, bearings, comp cams 470 magnum cam. Heads were rebuilt in 2010 with hardened seats, new valves, springs, locks, retainers. They only have slight external flash rust and should be ready to go. I have a factory cast iron intake and 4bbl edelbrock carb. I have the original exhaust manifolds and all brackets/pulleys/balancer etc... The cylinders flash rusted while in storage, so I would recommend cleaning up the bores. Trans - Original 727 automatic, rebuilt with shift kit, all Kevlar bands. 2800 stall convertor. Original parts - This was a complete, running driving car before I stripped it down for paint/body and to modify the engine, so I have all the original parts. The radiator needs to be rebuilt (had a new one, but it was stolen from storage) New parts - Complete set of Year One the rubber mouldings/trim for the car, to include door/window inserts etc.., complete set of Inline Tubing brake and fuel lines, like new grille, new side marker lights, new front signal lights and other misc. underhood rubber trim parts Contact me for more pics or info. Happy bidding. This is a great Roadrunner and deserves to be put back on the street. |
