Description of 1973 Plymouth Barracuda Cuda' |
1973 Plymouth Cuda Rallye Red Numbers matching Motor and Transmission. I am the 2nd owner of this Cuda. Car was a barn find located in Syracuse Ny and was parked around 1989-1990 by 1st owner. I bought the car in 2006. Car is not a show car, but a driver. I have the build sheet in a plastic bag but it is shredded, mice had gotten to it back when it was stored in the barn in New York. I Salvaged what I could and stuck it in a bag. Car has been garage kept since I got it. Interior: I recovered all the seats and put in new head liner and carpet. CD player with bluetooth and 2 kenwood speakers were also added. Dash has an area for the 3rd speaker. I have left the cavity empty with grate covering. I will include the original AM stereo that came with the car. Car has the Rallye dash with 7000 rpm tach. Console is in great condition. Slapstick shifter. Original Dash is cracked from the sun and has a dash cap on it. Door panels are in decent shape-- were faded when I got, I did an eastwood black dye on them. I added some foil insulation under carpet and under the headliner. Glove box inside liner was shot, so I took out. Those can be found cheap on Ebay. Exterior: Car is pretty solid. Fenders are nice, there is an area on the drivers door to the front and bottom of the door that has some bubbling and has some filler. Passenger door is nice. Back tail panel has a little rust bubbling around edges. Clear coat is from the 80s and is a bit thin in some areas. I will see if I can get any pictures showing thin areas. You can see some areas on roof and trunk where it is wearing thin. Has the cool Rallye stripe. Bumpers are good shape, chrome is a bit thin. Grill is complete and in good shape, has some cracking here and there. Engine/mechanical: Original Numbers matching engine and trans. Runs good and shifts as it should. 340 4 barrel. Trans is the TorqueFlite 727 automatic. Has original Thermoquad Carb. Just need to pump the pedal to fill up the bowls after its been sitting a few days before starting. Has aftermarket air cleaner. I still have original orange single snorkel air cleaner included in the sale. Has glass pack exhaust. Sounds sweet. I put in a new Fuel tank and sending unit also. Car has power steering and power brakes. Tires/Rims-- Tires are in nice shape. Tons of tread. Magnum 500 rims. This is a awesome looking Car--Super cool and Turns heads and gets thumbs up wherever I go. Just a nice Original Cuda. Thanks for looking Buyer is responsible for pickup or shippingDeposit is $500.
