Selling a 1959 Plymouth Fury for my brother-in-law who recently passed away. His daughter wants me to assist her in selling this car. I don't know too much about this particular car I will try my best to describe her to you. It' a 1959 Plymouth Fury 4 door, 318 wide block with a one year only 2 four barrel Carb manifold,(this is what I was told). What impressed me about this motor and engine bay, are the orginal stickers and equipment. For ex, the orginal windshield washer bag, the orginal horn and radiator. The fender tag and other labels that are evident in this engine bay. Notice the signature on the firewall? Big Daddy Don Garlits!!!!! The trans is a "push" button 3 speed automatic torque flight...The interior is nice, I was told that the seat covers cover the original seats, I did not remove the covers to find out. Needs new headliner, has original radio, not installed, the dash is in very good shape, odometer shows 80,000 plus miles, don't know if original or not, headlights, wipers work. Don't think gas gauge works..the body of the car looks pretty solid, I am not a body guy but body looks good. The paint is very nice, has some chips on the hood. The car was sitting for over a year, My brother-in-law was a Vet and he passed at the V.A. in New Jersey. I called my freind to come over and see if he can get the car started. We put in 5 gallons of gas and adjusted the carbs and after some cranking she kicked over..the gas in the car was sitting for about a year or so. I would empty the gas and fill with new gas. The transmission shifts normally. The car drives nice. This car needs an engine and transmission oil change and a complete tune-up, and a good cleaning and detailing. With some tender loving care you can have one nice ride....Not too many 1959 Fury's around. Here is your chance to own a true classic from the last year of the 1950's to the beginning of the 1960's....BUY AS IS....... Good Luck and happy bidding..
