Description of 1957 Plymouth Belvedere |
Here before you is this stunning 1957 Plymouth Belvedere 4dr Sedan! Sold new in Nebraska, the car is about as dry and clean as you'll find. Equipped with a 318ci V8 and 3-speed Torqueflite automatic, this car has performed flawlessly on many cross-country trips in our ownership! Now offered for sale due to our need to downsize the collection, it's offered here with an incredibly reasonable reserve. Check out my other listings for other classic beauties that will be listed this week! Car was originally the color combination you see before you, though it was repainted red/white after the film Christine came out, but it was returned to these colors just prior to our purchasing it around 2004 or so. The tired old 301ci V8 was on it's last legs and we opted to replace it with a rebuilt 1959 Plymouth 318 that we had ready to go. The car since then has put on over 10,000 miles with no issues at all! The car currently shows 45,143 miles and I believe those are accurate since the interior of the car is all original! The paint quality is very nice, but not a show car by any stretch. You'll find little chips and cracks from the past 20+ years of use. Great shine and no signs of any prior body repairs or rust. The interior is all original with the exception of the dash pad. Seats are in excellent shape, no major rips or tears and still are very supportive and comfortable! The headline is also entirely intact and unmolested! Body is solid, no rust found anywhere, chassis was entirely gone through when we first purchased the car and components were replaced or rebuilt as needed. This one literally needs nothing to be a daily driver! Glass is also in good shape with no cracks or damages. Chrome and stainless is mostly original and is in excellent condition! This car deserves to go to a good home and is an excellent entry-level collector car or first old-car for the young enthusiast. Feel free to message me with any questions and I'll answer them as soon as they come in. I'm not a dealer and there are no fees outside of the final bid!
