Fully Restored with Tasteful Upgrades ThroughoutThe current owner of this gorgeous 1970 Plymouth Road Runner Convertible purchased it back in 2014 after it was completely restored from top to bottom. While it didn’t need anything with a virtually flawless body and a factory bench cloth interior with a column shifter, the current owner decided to take it to an entirely different level. The bench seating was removed and replaced with white vinyl factory correct bucket seats, along with the rest of the interior. He then added a floor shifter with the correct stock floor linkage, a new steering column, drilled and slotted disc brakes. The interior was redone by renowned Mopar restorer Julias Steur. It has the correct factory hood turn signals, hood pins and the famous Road Runner “dust stripe” down the side. It rides on YearOne reproduction 17" alloy wheels with 275/40R-17 Front and 285/40R17 rear Continental Extreme Contact Rubber. It is important to point out, however, that you would never realize that this 1970 Plymouth Road Runner Convertible wasn’t 100% factory stock without using a VIN decoder. The workmanship is off the charts good throughout and this gorgeous muscle car appears to be fully original to the naked eye.In terms of performance, the 383 V-8 and the automatic transmission give this impressive muscle car plenty of power on the open road with that famous Mopar rumble. It drives and shifts nicely plus it has great stopping power with the upgraded disc brakes. This is one of only 824 examples built in the last year of Road Runner Convertible production. There is simply nothing here that would keep a serious collector from falling in love with this simply awesome example.
