Description of 1970 Plymouth Duster 340/408 |
This is a "Super Nice" #'s matching 340 Duster, repainted its original "Show Quality" Rally Red base coat clear coat sanded and wheeled slick as glass, factory black side strip and tail panel strips, fresh air hood scoop, new tinted windshield and rubber - all other glass is original in excellent condition, new weather stripping and window felts, new door handles, new side view mirrors, re-chromed front and rear bumpers also has front chin spoiler. Very nice black bucket seat console interior, original dash pad in excellent condition, Rally gauge package with 150 speed-o-meter, dash bezels look like new, AM/FM/CD stereo nicely mounted in dash with front and rear speakers, 3 spoke Grant steering wheel (also have factory original wheel), digital tach nicely mounted on column, new headliner, new door panels, rear seat cover are original, front seats have been recovered, carpet has also been replaced with sill plates, custom front and rear floor mats, original center console and shifter in excellent condition, also custom upholstered trunk. Under the hood of this #'s matching 340 Duster - the #'s match motor was removed and set on a stand (complete from carburetor to oil pan) - but now has a professionally built 408 Stroker, steel crank, Eagle rods, Diamond forged pistons, Comp cam, Edelbrock aluminum cylinder heads with updated roller rockers and rocker shafts, Edelbrock aluminum intake, Edelbrock carb, sheet aluminum valve covers, K & N air filter assembly, complete MSD ignition with billet distributor and MSD 6AL ignition box, Powermaster high output alternator, high volume water pump, factory heavy duty Mopar radiator with correct shroud and 7 blade clutch fan, ceramic coated TTI headers into 2 1/2 inch dual Flowmaster exhaust with X pipe out the back, correct chrome tips, front suspension has been gone through - shocks, tie rods, bushings, ect., factory front sway bar, factory front disc brakes, this strong running 408 is back up with a 727 Torqueflite trans, 2800 converter and manual shift valve body, 8 3/4 Sure Grip posi rear end, 355 gear, also has a pair of custom frame ties. 340 #'s matching motor will also be included in the sale. Rides on a set of Cragar SS's with BF Goodrich TA Radials 15x7 215/65/15 front and 15x8 255/60/15 rear. This car has won over 25 awards. Ready to show and go.
