Description of 1973 Plymouth Road Runner

Vehicle Details

1973 Plymouth Satellite. Roadrunner Hood, stripes and emblems. Ytube video  @briancantrell3272 . The VIN number shows that this car was originally a 318, two barrel carburetor with single exhaust satellite. It now has a smooth, strong running 1975 360, four barrel carburetor with dual exhaust. Tires are about a month old with less than 20 miles on them. Front and rear brakes are also about a month old with less than 20 miles. Also a new battery, fuel pump and gas tank.  About 3 months ago a rock thrown by a lawn mower broke the passenger door window. I have not gotten around to replacing it yet but I have a brand new window in it's original box that goes with the car. Seats are in good condition with no noticeable rips or tears. The door panels are in fair condition but have upholstery type washer head screws across the bottom of the panels instead of the factory clips. The carpet is dirty but is in Fair shape. The dash pad, headliner and rear deck are toast. The car has a rally dash cluster with tachometer. Somewhere along the line the dash cluster cover was butchered to put in an aftermarket radio. Although the rally gauge cluster is in place it has not been hooked up. A good used cluster cover that will accept a factory Chrysler radio with both knobs on the same side is bubble wrapped in a box in the trunk and will go with the car. The previous owner purchased the car in 2010. It had been sitting since 1989 in a carport in Mississippi. He put a battery and gas in the car and drove it home to Missouri where I found it parked behind a garage. He said he only drove it a few times before parking it, intending to do a full restore. He is still under the impression that he purchased a real roadrunner. I did not burst his bubble. The car needs rust repair in the locations noted in the pictures and very little body work other than that. The body appears to be in really good shape. The paint, stripes and decals were all done around 1984 and look their age. Even though this has been my check the mail car it is not ready to be a daily driver. It will need a bit of work to make it all come together. I enjoy the looks and comments that I get while driving this old thing around. The trunk has rust as seen in the pictures but not rusted through anywhere and is very solid. The car is Rusty underneath but the frame and floorboard all seem to be in pretty good shape. Odometer not hooked up, mileage unknown. Please feel free to ask questions. I want y'all happy! Thanks, Brian
