Description of 1964 Pontiac Le Mans |
Up for sale is my 1964 Pontiac Lemans. This was a total frame off restoration done by myself and my wife. We have pictures of the entire restoration process, s well as all receipts for items purchased to replace or restore. The car originally came from Arizona and had no rust at all, he car has all original sheet metal with no patch panels. It runs and drives great, t has only been to car shows, ever driven in the rain since restoration. -Frame:Sandblasted, rimed and repainted with black epoxy chassis paint. Upgraded the brake system to power front disc brakes with rear drums. All body bushings where replaced, uspension upgraded with tubular front control arms, ew springs on the front and rear, nd Moog rear control arm bushings. New BF Goodrich tires and American Racing wheels. -Body: Soda blasted and washed numerous times before being sanded then sprayed with epoxy primer and PPG paint. There is no rust on the doors, enders and floors, s can be seen in the pictures. All inner fenders and wheel wells were sandblasted and painted with black epoxy chassis paint. -Interior:The floor pans and trunk were sprayed with epoxy primer and rubberized bed liner, hen Rattletrap XXX insulation was applied on the floor pans, runk, oors & roof (as seen in the pictures). New coverings and padding from Year One were installed on the seats. New carpeting installed. New headliner, nd Vintage Air conditioning and heat system installed. -Motor:1973 Pontiac 455, ompletely rebuilt. New flat top KB pistons 30 over, ew Comp cam 268/280 installed. It has the6X heads with stainless valves and with a lot of work on them, arger valves and port work. Edelbrock RPM intake and an 850 CFM Quadrajet carb built by Cliff carburetors. It runs fantastic and sounds great. It has about 2000 miles on it since rebuild. -New quick ratio steering gear -Rear end has factory 308 gears and all new bearings. -350 transmission. -Radiator is a heavy duty Griffin race radiator with 2 rows of 1 1/4" tubes and the temp runs on 180 in hot weather with the AC on. -Exhaust system is 2 1/2" PYPES stainless with X-pipe from engine to tips. All new wiring and all bolts were replaced. Have about 100+ pictures of the car while being rebuilt. If you need to see something else to verify, et me know and I can send picture to you.
