Description of 1949 Pontiac Other Silver Streak PRO STREET ROD. $50K Build. VIDEO.

1949 Pontiac Silver Streak Pro Street Rod
Listed on behalf of Monte Shelton Motors.
This 1949 Pontiac Silver Streak received a full professional frame-off restoration and build completed in 2014, iving you the best of both worlds: classic styling and modern power and safety. Over $50,000 was invested with all receipts included. Here's some of what was done to make this Pontiac a standout on the road and show field:
Frame:
Every piece was taken off of the frame during the restoration and then prior to rebuild everything was upgraded for a modern ride and handling. The front half of the frame is rebuilt from a 1985 Cadillac making the ride incredibly comfortable. The rear frame was custom built and tubed by Jackson Kustom Cars of Newberg, regon to fit the oversized rear tires. Lincoln Mark VII 4-wheel power disc brakes. Rear suspension is a 4-Link. Coil-Over Shocks. Pan Hard Bar. Rear End: Currie Posi-Traction 9 inch NASCAR Truck Series Rear End with Richmond 3.10:1 gears.
Body:
Stripped to bare metal. Body and paint work done by Abby Auto Body in Portland and Hot Rod Dreamworks in Canby, regon. Painted in base/clear with Light Iris Pearl on the body and Dark Iris Pearl on the top. A beautiful, ubtle combination that always elicits comments from viewers. Chrome was replated, rim was polished and are excellent.
Interior:
Fully reupholstered by Hopps Upholstery in Oregon City, regon. Seats were rebuilt for comfortable touring and cruising. Full power windows and door locks. Flaming River Tilt Steering Column. Vintage Air Conditioning. AM/FM/Stereo CD. All gauges rebuilt. Please see photos.
Engine/Drivetrain:
New crate Chevrolet 350 cubic inch/350 horsepower V8. Edelbrock RPM Performer Manifold. Holley 650 Carburetor. MSD Electronic Ignition. Electric Fan and controller. Front Runner power steering pump, alternator, /C pump and water pump. "Sweet 16" Power Steering Box from Nascar. American Racing alloy mag wheels with Goodyear Eagle RS-A Radial tires.
Ceramic-coated Hedman Headers. Flowmaster stainless steel exhaust.
I have personally driven this car and it runs perfectly. Lots of power and a deep, hroaty sound when wanted. Turns heads wherever you go. Just 3,200 miles since the build, o it is completely dialed-in and ready to drive anywhere. Nothing needed. Get-in and go. Truly a turn-key car.
Extras:
The car includes a trunk filled with spare parts, ustom fitted car cover, and all receipts for the build, otaling over $50,000.
If you are looking for a fully-sorted, o-expense-spared Pontiac resto-rod for show or go, his is it. A low reserve has been placed on this car, ESS THAN HALF OF THE BUILD COST. Someone is going to get a bargain!
