Description of 1970 Pontiac Catalina |
Up for auction is my 1970 Pontiac Catalina hardtop coupe. This car is in very good condition. and gets lots of attention on the street. Even cops love it! On 2 separate occasions I got thumbs up from Irvine’s finest. even while directing traffic in the middle of a busy intersection. I believe the car has the original engine with only 76. 00 miles on it. It has good compression. good power. and no squeaks or squeals. That's why I believe the odometer has not rolled over. It starts flawlessly without the typical feathering of the gas pedal. and the choke works as it should on cold starts. The interior upholstery is all new (carpet. seats and headliner). The original dash has been tended to. Has some cracks. but has been freshened up and is in decent condition. The door panels are original and in good shape. This car must have been garaged most of its 45 years because there is no sign of fading in the panels. The AC even works!! All handles and knobs are there too. The gas tank has been replaced with a new one. and new exhaust was installed from the exhaust manifold back. The Cooper tires are new and the trunk has been carpeted. I also recently installed a new thermostat and radiator cap. This is a real cool ride. and would do very well at a car show or a cruise. But I have decided to build a Mustang. so I must let this one go. The car is located in Irvine. CA. But I work in Costa Mesa so I can also meet you there. SERIOUS BIDDERS ONLY!! Please note that if you have 10 or less positive feedbacks. I will cancel your bid unless you contact me first. and I may ask to meet you in person before I allow your bid. I have dealt with scammers in the past and it is a real pain. It is sometimes necessary in order to conduct a fair auction for the seriously interested parties. And. everyone is welcome to stop by for a test drive or inspection. Good Luck!! |
