1966 Pontiac 2+2. This is 1 of 520, 21HO 376HP tripower A/T cars built in 66. This is for all models. Bonneville, atalina, rand Prix and 2+2. The car is a true survivor. Meaning its never been painted or restored. There are a few minor modifications done back in the day like a large chrome "foot" gas pedal. Kinda cool I think since its been there a long time. Also have the "foot" for the high beam floor switch. The added Stewart Warner oil and temp guages in the console work and light up at night. The aftermarket tach on the console does not work as it does not appear to be hooked up. The car has new flowmaster exhaust and sounds great. I drive the car regularly. I love the car but have anopportunity that requires a lot of cash so I'm selling a few cars. If I reach my goal I may pull this car as its my favorite. Again its a true survivor. I struggle daily with not changing or restoring anything. Like the bucket seats. Once you start its hard to stop. The tires and wheels are not original but ones I had in the shop. You will get the original steel wheels and old bias ply tires.. You will also get the original radiator and fan clutch which I changed because I wanted to drive it as much as possible. I installed a new thermostat and hoses also. The tripower still has the original vacuum secondaries. Its not been converted to mechanical like so many others. The car currently runs off just the center carb. Nothing has been modifed but I believe the thermostatic vacuum switch is stuck from minimal use over the past ten years. I have not messed with it since it runs great as is. Factory long branch exhaust manifolds are correct and original to the car. I do have the PHS showing the rarity of the car and correct YK code engine. I also have the protecta plate with YK code. Remember the body is all original. Does it have rust? Damn right it does, ts untouched. I wish I could post all my pics here but I cant. Email and I'll send you all the pics I have or take special ones for you. There is the typical rust around the windshield and rear glass. Some rust in both quarters and front fenders. Did not see any in frame. Minor rust in trunk which I still have not detailed. Would look better cleaned but not a priority in my life Lol. Car was purchased from the second owner. However the original owner only had the car for 800 miles I was told. I was told he brought it back to the dealership saying it was too much car for him? Anyway the lady I bought it from said she and her husband then bought the car. In 1968 while pregnant with her second child she hit a post or tree at the local post office causing some damage to the passenger side rear quarter (See pic). I have about 70 detailed pics of car. I have nothing to hide andneitherdoes the car. Its the real deal here. Not a restored car hiding lots of bodywork. What you see is exact what you are paying for. Survivor cars are very sought after today as the market is flooded with over restored cars. They are only original ONCE. You cant argue with that. This car is still GM's version of a rare 421HO all black pavement eater. You can drive this car anywhere as is. Needs nothing IMO its perfect as is.
