Description of 1977 Pontiac Grand Prix SJ T-Top

1977 Pontiac Grand Prix SJ with T-Tops. 400 cid 6. 6L Pontiac Motor (Not Olds 403) Original car. mostly unmolested. has had one re-spray in the past and the half-vinyl top removed. Highly optioned with T-Tops. Rear Defrost. Power Windows. Power Driver's Seat. A/C. Cruise. PB. PS. Rear Sway Bar. Also has remote trunk release in the glove box that still works. We picked this car up a while back with the intent of getting her back on the road. but have two other Pontiac projects going at the moment. so passing this on to someone else. If you're a fan of these cars. then you already know what they are bringing at auction. This one is priced to sell. and would make a nice driver or candidate for full restoration. The car had been sitting for at least two years when we got it. We purged the fuel tank and lines. The car will start and run with a battery and starting fluid. but I suspect that the fuel pump is bad for sure. and the carb no doubt needs a rebuild. INTERIOR- The original interior is all there. but will need going through. See pics. BODY- The body is overall pretty straight. but has some typical GM rust spots. Trunk has two small holes that need to be patched but otherwise solid. the right rear quarter has rust through on the bottom and needs a patch panel. The deck lid is the worst spot in the car. with rust throughought the bottom edge and needs to be replaced. Pass door has some rust at the bottom edge seam. but totally useable. driver's door has some bondo and rust at the bottom. but OK to patch as a driver. fenders and hood in pretty good shape. Front bumper and grille good to go. rear bumper has rust on the bottom. Floor pans could use some love. and the left rear pan has already had an 80s/90s home made patch. (Will need replacing. ) The frame is completely solid and good to go. The top has some dents and dings as well. lease see pics. GLASS- All glass is in good shape. including the T-Tops. WHEELS/TIRES- Car is wearing all of its original 15x7 PMD ralley wheels. to include a PMD ralley spare. Tires are matching with decent tread. and all hold air. ENGINE/TRANS- The engine runs fine/sounds good on starting fluid. Trans goes in and out of gear fine. BRAKES- Pedal builds pressure. and brakes will work. but should be gone through before putting car back on the road. SPARE PARTS THAT COME WITH SALE-- NOS T-Top Seals still in box-A/C Heater Box- Door panels- Door Trim- Mirrors- Tail Light Assy- Seat partsOther items of note- The heater core is bypassed. so my guess would be that it leaks. Another A/C heater box is included with spare parts for this car. The wipers work. lights are about 50/50. needing some bulbs replaced and a flasher. The aftermarket radio gets power but does not work. The rear defrost and power windows DO work. The power drivers seat works with assistance. Complete set of original owners manuals and maintenance records will also come with this car. At the end of the day. it's a pretty solid SJ T-Top car that will make somebody happy for cheap. Won't take much to get her on the road again. Car is sold as-is where-is with nowarranty expressed or implied. Car will need to be towed/trailered. It can not be driven home.
