This is an Awesome 1981 Firebird Trans Am. COMPLETELY original. nbsp; Motor has never been touched except for oil changes. I bought this car a few years ago from the original owner in Phoenix Arizona. He bought it new in 1981 and drove it till 1987 when he had kids. He bought a SUV and parked the T/A in his garage. And it sat for 25 years until I bought it and trailered in to Albuquerque New Mexico. He said that is the first time it ever left Arizona. I had to buy all 4 new tires to get it out of his garage because three of the four were flat and dry rotted and sitting on the rims. I changed the battery. it was from Montgomery Ward’s! Changed the oil. dropped and flushed the gas tank. changed the fuel pump. blew out the lines and she fired right up and runs PERFECT!!! Sounds really good with the original exhaust. So my plan was to put in a built sbc 400 and paint it. but I just can’t bring myself to pull all the original stuff out of this survivor. 78. 00 original miles folks. This car runs. drives. handles. sounds. and acts just like it did in 1981. If it doesn’t sell I may just proceed with the 400 swap. It has the original paint but it’s peeling in the front. Maybe it got something on it sitting in the garage all those years? He said it took him a while to find one without the hood graphics. He thought the screaming chicken was to much. I would defiantly put one on! Zero rust. I mean ZERO!!! This car spent its life in a garage in Phoenix and now is in New Mexico. ZERO RUST! Couple dings here and there form bicycles and garage type stuff. Easily fixed. Rear bumper has a rip where his wife backed into a pole. No damage except ripped bumper cover. He said he never let her drive it again… Let me know if you have any questions or offers… Thanks! Oh. I do have most of the build sheet. When I dropped the tank it was on top.
