This 1978 Pontiac Trans Am wasoriginallysold in Sallisaw, klahoma. It is a Z-code car with the Pontiac 400 engine and TH350 automatic. It has the WS6 suspension package, isher T-tops, he original Mayan red paint, ower windows, ir conditioning, nd 2:56 Posi-trac. The car does have some rust, nd I have tried to document this in the pictures. The metal is cracked around the striker on the driver's side and the door does not shut properly, herefore there is some rust in the floorpans, n the left quarter, nd a small area under the windshield. There is also a small amount coming out at the bottom of the fenders and a few small holes near the rear of the trunk pan. This car is mostly complete, issing the radio and few nuts and bolts. The car is not numbers matching, arburetor and heads are correct for a 1978 Trans Am and may even be original to the car, ut the block is a service replacement XX block. The XX block was for the W72 optioned cars, nd has the thicker casting, ervice replacement designated by the SR stamped in front of the serial number. Service Replacement XX blocks are rare, nd I have no information on how this car came to have the SR XX block. I have the build sheet and PHS documents for this car and the car did not have the W72 option. Pour some gas down the carburetor and the car will start, ounds good, ransmission will pull both forward and reverse, ut the car is NOT drivable. The odometer shows 87,911 miles and I believe it's accurate. Have title, elling to the United States only.
