Description of 1969 Pontiac Firebird

I just acquired this car a gentlemen who had this as a project car and lost interest. This car is very rare asbuilt with this powertrain. I have afolder with over $9000 in receipts for just parts and labor already put into it not including the car itself. This car is exceptional complete. I will try to cover any components that I know to be missing. That being said as a project car there are parts that will be needed to complete the build that I may be missing.

Please look at all of the pictures as like said the car is very complete. While some parts may not be easily seen they are probably there. If you have questions please ask. For example the valance lights and all of the firebird emblems are in the box on the left side of the trunk picture and the second piece of the grille is also in the trunk.

What has been done to the car to this point:

  • The entire engine and transmission areprofessionally rebuilt andimmaculate. They havebeen stored on a cart since that rebuild.
  • New floor boards welded in the passenger compartment, revious owner was a welder so the work is quality
  • New cowl panel welded in
  • Sub frame cleaned and coated with POR15
  • A-Arms cleaned and coated with POR15, ebuilt with new ball joints and bushings
  • Transmission cross member cleaned and coated with POR15
  • Sway bar cleaned and coated with POR15
  • Drive shaft cleaned and coated with POR15, alanced and new U-joints installed
  • New heater core installed
  • New master cylinder installed
  • There has been a significant amount of body work completed, lthough some needs to be reworked. For example while it is in primer there are areas where the fill from fitting new quarters should be removed and reapplied from sitting so long the minor rust can be seen in the welded joint that is exposed.
  • Things that can't be seen in the photos:

  • The lower bracing under the floor boards needs to be cleaned and POR15ed. This common on a convertible as you can only replace the floor boards by leaving this structure in place since there is no roof to hold the unibody in place. So while not yet completed this shows the work was done correctly.
  • The lower A pillers below the bottom door hinge need replaced, atches not included but common to the Camaro and available
  • The trunk floor needs replaced, ut all new panels for this including lower braces are included a shown in pictures
  • The rear leaf springs and hangers should be replaced
  • The rear axle is intact and has not be touched so it needs to be cleaned and POR15ed, ossibly rebuilt
  • For the front fender that shows filler, here is a patch panel to remove that filler damaged area.
  • New components that are included:

    • All trunk sheet metal needed for replacement
    • new frame rails
    • lower valance
    • dash panel
    • radiator support
    • Entire front end rebuild kit including bushings tie rod ends and hardware
    • Front poly bushing kit
    • Rear poly bushing kit
    • Newfront brake drums and shoes
    • Rear bumper
    • Front end hardwarekit (bolts)
    • All new wheels bearings
    • Rebuiltfront hub and spindle assemblies
    • Fuel pump
    • Torque converter
    • front springs
    • rebuilt steering box
    • headlights
    • lots of new bearings and hardware not marked
    • The hood while not new is perfect.

    Things known to be missing

    • Some of the interior panels, assenger door panel
    • no new top kit
    • no carpets
    • no steering wheel

If you have questions please ask and I will try my best to answer. This real is a great project but I have two in process.
