Description of 1972 Pontiac Le Mans

Here is a super-cool street machine. This 1972 Pontiac Le Mans was fully restored in 2012, nd in great shape; and then the owner sunk another $13,856 in additional parts alone into it!

This classic Pontiac started life with a 350 V-8 (probably a 2 bbl), ut now has an awesome 455 Big Block rated at 400 HP and 500+ ft. lbs. of torque. This engine was freshly rebuilt when installed, nd now only has 4600 miles on it. This is a very strong motor that really woke this car up!

The big block is mated to a Turbo 400 transmission that only has about 6200 miles on it now. The transmission shifts perfectly in and out of gear with no slipping. All that torque provides a lot of fun off the starting line, nd the 3:31 rear gear sitting inside the 12 bolt posi rear end helps the drivability at highway speeds. This rear end was brand new at the time of installation, nd now only has about 4800 miles on it.

This Le Mans has a very high quality paint job that was clearly applied in a professional paint booth, nd not in someone’s garage. Beautiful GM Storm Gray Metallic paint laid down in a base coat / clear coat finish that shines just like it should! There is not a single dent, ing, tone chip, cratch or scuff on this car! Since this car resided in West Texas up until 2011; there is NO RUST! The sheet metal is very straight and clean from bottom to top. All the chrome has been either replaced or re-plated. There is no pitting anywhere, nd the chrome shines like new.

The classic bench seat interior was brand new in 2011, nd looks amazing. There are absolutely no cracks, ips or tears anywhere to be found in the super-comfortable upholstery. The FACTORY A/C blows very cold and all the gauges work just the way they should including the factory tach. The updated Kenwood stereo provides great sounding tunes while you cruise.

All this high-quality muscle is sitting on a set of American Racing Torque Thrust 17” chrome wheels and ZR rated tires. This car really drives beautifully, nd stops like it should with the front disc brakes.

There is no way you could build a classic muscle car like this for under $30k. There may be some minor flaws, ut you will have to look very closely to find any. With the stout drivetrain installed; this is a real street machine that will not only turn heads, ut keep them looking!
