Description of 1986 Pontiac Grand Prix |
1986 Pontiac grand prix 2+2 aerocoupe. 1 of roughly 1100 built in 1986 only. This car is equipped with global west tubular welded suspension front and rear, ibach racing springs, nd bilstein shocks. Built for road racing, ut never to a track. It has a 40over 400 small block chevy, ftermarket world product heads, delbrock intake, olley rebuilt quadrajet, 00r4 transmission (rebuilt last summer), ith a wonderfully working example of an original 84 hurst olds lightning rods shifter. This car regularly gets 25mpg, n pump gas. It always runs around 180 even when over 90 degrees. This car was originally from North Carolina, hen went Alabama, here my friend brought it back from. The paint is original overall, ut appears to have had the clear resprayed at some point. Most of the clear on the hood, oof and rear trunklid are gone. The original seats are included but very dry rotted from the southern environment, he car is equipped with leather seats from a 2010 Bonneville SSEI. Which are 6 way power and heated. The only thing missing is the console shell, he plastic disintegrated from the heat. Need a grey olds gbody console and i have the top plate for the lightning rods shifter. The air conditioning is all there, ust needs a belt and converted to the new stuff. Wheels are 1988 gta wheels with new bfg sport comp rubber, 45/50/16 up front and 255/50/16 in rear. The wheels are 16x8 Close match to GNX wheels. Oops almost forgot the exhaust! There car is equipped with hooker headers, ollowed by welded in dynamax 3" inch cutouts (not fancy electric but 3 wing nut manual), ollowed by 2.5 inch duals with flowmaster type turbo mufflers and tailpipes all the way back. Sounds great regular and awesome when opened up (I drive the dream cruise every year with them opened up). This is a running driving vehicle, use as my daily driver every summer. Will add photos later If your in MI, ome and check it out! |
