Description of 1984 Pontiac Trans Am

1984 Pontiac TRANS AMDry/Solid Nevada Car Right Out of 16 Year Storage. RARE 5-Speed Manual Transmission!!!This car is incredible! It is a virtually rust-free Nevada car. RIGHT HERE IN THE MIDWEST!I purchased this car off the 2nd owner and still have the Nevada Title! He bought this car back in 1988 and drove it for 10 years before putting it into extended storage. He moved the car here to Illinois and it has been in storage ever since. Until I purchased it. The car is in incredibly unmolested original condition. no customization. no hacking. just a solid original car. you just don't find them like this in this condition. We changed all of the fluids in the engine. transmission. and rear differential. It has a brand new battery and fuel pump. The vehicle is a running driving car. but still needs to be serviced before putting it on the road. I have not tuned it up at all. it still has the 20+ year old wires. plugs. cap. and rotor. this is a great opportunity for someone to spend a little time and very little money to have a nice nostalgic sports car. THIS CAR IS INCREDIBLY SOLID. JUST LOOK AT THE PICTURES!! There is no rust through ANYWHERE. door bottoms are solid. floors are great. rockers and quarters are all metal. not even any scale on the undercarriage! I have a lot of pictures to show you just how solid this car is! You won't find another one this solid here in the Mid-West for this kind of money!I had the car up on the rack and ran through all of the gears. Engine fires right up and runs strong. There is a little miss in the engine. but with the old cap-rotor-wires. it is not surprising. Clutch was replaced shortly before putting the car away for storage. There is some sun-burnt paint on the hood as you can see in the pictures and a little spot on the front edge of the roof. We spent a few hours rubbing a quick coat of wax on the body and you can see that it still shines great. the car really cleaned up nicely. We wiped the dust off the interior and vacuumed it very quickly. but have not detailed the car in any way. we did not paint anything. this is how it came out of storage. The car will need a radiator and a tune-up and likely some vacuum lines replaced. It runs decent when cold. but when the choke pulls off. it does not like to idle. again. likely due to vacuum lines. they are original. We had the car running today for almost an hour and moved it around the parking lot of my shop. The headline is sagging. but aside from needing a good cleaning. the interior is still in surprisingly good condition for a desert car. I did not clean the engine compartment. you can still see the dust from storage. you can certainly tell it was a desert car!Check out the pictures and don't miss out on this great opportunity to own a rock solid Nevada car without having to pay to haul it to the Mid-West. This is an as-is sale and the car has no warranty or guarantee. check out everything and ask questions before you buy. If you are local. I can make time to show you the car. All sales are final and there are no refunds or exchanges. A $500 non-refundable deposit is due at the time of sale. The car must be picked up within 7 days of auction end. unless prior arrangements are made. Remaining balance must be paid in cash at the time the car is picked up.
