1979 pontiac trans am with I think a 403 not sure and automatic transmission. I bought this from A guy yesterday that lost interest in it. it had not been started in 2 years . I jumped the battery and it started right up and runs great. I drove it around my yard but I did not take it on the road as the last owner put all new brakes everything but the rear drums and never bled the lines. It has aftermarket carb I think it is an edlebrock I will look at it again tomorrow and post it. Idles smooth. the interior is taken out the guy removed the rug to fix a few holes in the floor boards but never did the floors are still solid and structurally sound. the rims are aluminum american racing and the tires are cooper cobra GT with 0 miles on them today around the yard is the first time they were used they still have the factory nubs on the driving surface. as you see the seats are out and need to be recovered. unbelievably the dashboard is perfect with no cracks. e. No rust in engine compartment at all. t tops are all good. trunk has no holes. rame is all good with no rot. door panels are in good condition just needs dust washed off. scoop is in good condition with no damage . No radio. I do not know what the body looks like under the crappy paint job but there is not rot at all on the wheel wells that is a good sign that is not rusted. all glass is good. this car is a great canditate for restoration or bolt the seats in. leed the brake lines and it is ready to drive. I let it run for a half hour to try and use up the 2 year old gas in it I will run it some more tomorrow until it runs out then I will put some fresh gas in. I was surprised how well it runs with the old gas in it. I'm sure there is stuff I am forgetting I will add as I remember or you can ask questions. Also you can call me at 315-335-5848 car has a clean new york state open title. The car has a layer of dust on it from being stored in garage way to cold today to wash it. the Vin is 2w87k9l196064 the code on block is WA the heads are marked 0067 and 8x . also has edelbrock intake.
