Description of 1979 Pontiac Trans Am WS6 |
1979 Pontiac Trans Am Pro Touring This rust free WS6 T/A spent most of its life in Arizona. The car was then sent to Elite Motorsports in Austin, Texas. They built this car into a ProTouring ground pounding street machine usingsome ofthe best components available on the market. I purchased the car from Elite Motorsports. It started as a pristine rust free WS6, factory 4 speed, A/C, PS, Power 4 wheel disk brake, black hobnail cloth interior, non T Top T/Aand underwent a no expense spared transformation beginning withswitching the standard Pontiac 400 witha Pontiac 455 bored .30 over into 462 cubic inches of pure Pontiac torque (525 peak dyno at completion)and horsepower. The engine was blueprinted, built, and balancedby Arizona Performance Center at costin excess of$10k and has been driven very little since. This car stops and corners beautifully. It sits low and feels like it is on rails. The interior is gorgeous. There are no cracks or rips anywhere. The entire dash looks like new. I installed a 160MPH gauge and it was speed calibrated. Everything in the car works like new. Every dash light, horn, dome light, hell even the clock on the Tach works! When you push the key in the seat belt buzzer still works. Every part of this car was done right and by the pros. Over 60K was put in this car and I have the receipts to prove it. The following primarycomponents were used in the engine build: TRW .30 FORGED PISTONS CRANE ROLLER ROCKERS TOTAL SEAL RINGS-CHROME ALLOY COMPETITION CAM 51-2244 PONTIAC ALUMINIUM WATER PUMP MSD BILLET ALUMINUM DISTRIBUTOR (BRAND NEW) MSD WIRE SET EDLEBROCK PERFORMER ALUMINUM HI PO HEADS EDLEBROCK PERFORMER ALUMINUM INTAKE TRW HIGH FLOW OIL PUMP MSD 6AL IGNITION BOX WITH REV LIMITER (BRAND NEW) EAGLE RODS TRW PUSH RODS COMP/PONTIAC CAM AND MAIN BEARINGS MILODON 8 QT ROAD RACE OIL PAN FEL-PRO GASKETS CENTERFORCE CLUTCH AND THROW OUT BEARING *CERAMIC COATED DOUG'S HEADERS, ORIGINALLY BUILT WITH HOOKER'S BUT THE DOUG'S TUCK UP SLIGHTLY BETTER CREATINGIMPROVED CLEARANCE AFTER THE SUSPENSION MODIFICATIONS BUILT WITH A BARRY GRANT 850, CURRENT TUNING IS FOR MAX PERFORMANCE TREMAC SUPER T10 WAS REBUILT TO HANDLE THE INCREASE IN HP AND TORQUE The vehicle, originally white had all of the body parts disassembled and repainted 79' Trans Am red and the exact factory graphics were professionally added, the cars shows incredibly well and has very few blemishes. I have a walk around and driving video upon request. If you have any questions about the car please call Steve (502) 938-5339 The car is enjoyed very infrequently and it is time to move on and make room, it is a blast to drive and gets looks anytime it emerges from the garage. Serious buyers/bidders are welcome to inspect the vehicle by appointment prior to bidding |
