1972 GTO 455HO – True WW5 Car

This auction is for a 1972 GTO 455HO, with the “rare” WW5 option (one of only 290 built). It is admittedly not a show car, but an exceptional nice driver. The is a California car, with a rock solid body and one re-paint to the correct and original Sunset Orange, with a Black bucket seat interior.

This car was built at the Fremont California Assembly Plant on 12/15/1971 and was put into company car service by an executive at that plant. After coming out of company car service, this car was then sold to a GM employee and the car stayed on the West Coast until being purchased by the current owner.

The original 455HO (code YB) engine block, heads, Ram Air air cleaner, etc. are still with the car. The carburetor is also correct, but it is a service replacement for the vehicle.

The factory equipment on this GTO includes: 455HO engine, with Ram Air (original to this car), Turbo Hydra-Matic Transmission, Safe-T-Track axle, AM-FM Radio, Rally Gauges, Console, Honeycomb Wheels, Tinted Glass, Formula Steering Wheel, Air Conditioning, Ride & Handling Package,WW5 Package.
