Description of 1978 Pontiac Trans Am

This is a true 1978 Pontiac Trans Am with Factory T-Tops and a 6.6L Pontiac 400. This is an awesome candidate for a Smokey and the Bandit car! Clean Tennessee Title under my name. Feel free to message me for additional photos prior to bidding
Pontiac 400 Motor. Not sure if its original but the motor was really built up by someone recently. It sounds mean. It has a Comp Cams 1.52 Magnum Roller Rocker setup. I installed some brand new performance comp cam locking nuts.Brand new Edelbrock Thunder AVS 650 (Less than a month old)TH350 Transmission (Shifts through all 3 gears nicely)Front Disc BrakesPower BrakesPower SteeringT-Tops work great and don't leak! The glass is perfectGlass overall is good but the windshield may be worth replacing as it has some scuffsComes with all window trim (Front and Rear Set)All Tim looks to be present except for the rear wheel well flares. I have one that came with it which is uninstalled. Hood and scoop are from a 76' Firebird but these could easily be sold and swapped out. for the correct ones as the 76's hood/scoop is much more rare than 77/78. The air cleaner on the carb fits in the scoop perfectly.New Plugs, Wires, Cap, rotor, valve cover gaskets, Windshield wipers, and comes with a new uninstalled fuel pump. Not all gauges work and it is likely a wiring issue but I haven't chased that down yet.The car needs an exhaust overhaul as it has manifolds and some piping but not perfect. There is some smoke and it looks to be coming from a leaky valve cover. I haven't fixed this yet. The car runs and drive fine but definitely needs some exhaust work.
Interior is in good shape. All trim looks to be there.Carpet is decent and there is no headliner. These headliners are easy to do because they're so small with the T-Top cut outs. The seats are very good overall except for a small part on the driver side. All interior looks to be present and some of the black trim may be sunfaded but isn't badThe dash has the normal cracks, but dash pads are cheap and easy. The center console is complete but not perfect. The make caps for the center console lid too.Came with all original owners manuals/documentation.Correct Pontiac Trans Am Shift KnobThere are 4 matching Snowflake wheels in great condition (No curb rash) WITH good Tires and center caps. These are the correct ones for 1977/1978 before they changed them in 1979.Windows work great.
Rust-Wise it has the normal floor pan rust and it looks like someone had previously done some floor work and didn't do a great job. I'd definitely go through the floors before fully restoring but aside from that it's solid. The driver side rear quart has a little previous work done that could use a refreshment prior to painting. A little TLC on the body and it would be ready for paint.
The car runs, drives, stops and steers fine. I've driven it to work however I would go through the brake system real good before any lengthy trips. The parking brake is frozen and may be an easy fix but I haven't looked into it.
Other extra parts it comes with is a complete set of matching lock cylinders, Door Vents, and many others.
It looks to have originally been blue with a black interior from the factory according to the fender tag. This car can be an awesome one to fix up while driving. The floors are the only real work to do on the car.
