Description of 1977 Pontiac Firebird

1977 Pontiac Trans Am (Vin# 2W87K7N202247) Engine: 6. 6 Liter 403 Oldsmobile that starts right up even when cold. Runs and sounds great. Speedometer shows 45236 miles. (Probably turned over once). New fuel pump. hose and filter. New fuel tank and gas line. New muffler. Engine is not numbers matching. Transmission: Automatic. Newer transmission installed by previous owner so not numbers matching but very few miles on it. Exterior: Body is in great condition. No visible rust problems or dents. I ran a magnet across entire body and found no voids. There was some minor surface rust on roof and hood which I sanded back to bare metal and primed entire hood and roof in Black Primer. Paint is in poor condition but looks OK for a daily driver. Needs new front wheel spoilers. Interior: Entire interior was removed and sound proofed and heat proofed with Dynamat. (This included the floor. the doors. all side areas. behind rear seat and the roof. ) Floor pans were in beautiful shape. New OEM carpet. seat covers front and rear. new wire seat cushion bottom supports installed. new top door panels. new rear dash shelf. headliner. shifter basil and console glove box. (Needs pad for console lid. I just haven’t gotten around to ordering one). All plastic is in good shape. New dome light. Dash has one crack but I have a brand new dash cover that goes with the car. It is currently black can be sprayed with OEM Firethorn Red to make it match the rest of the interior. Interior console is in great condition. Steering wheel has chunk out of it. New door and window weather stripping. Trunk: No rust. Sanded and sprayed with OEM splatter paint. Looks great. Original carpet was torn in several places so I discarded it. Still have original donut spare and jack. Do not have filler bottle but they can be purchased online. Weather stripping is in great shape. A/C: The car does have A/C but I pulled all of the interior under dash vent ducts as they were in pretty bad shape. Will need to be replaced. Everything seems to come on as it should but will need to be recharged. Radio: It does not have a radio or stereo. It has been properly rewired for an amp in the trunk and all new speaker wires. AMP wiring has been correctly run through the fire wall and up to the battery. Smog: Car passed CA Smog with great numbers. Smog comes with car. Registration: Registration is good through June 2015 and car has original CA Blue Plates. Sold AS-IS: I am selling this car AS-IS with no warranty of any kind. It’s a classic unrestored car. If you haven’t dealt with older cars like this please beware they are not like new cars. You really need to be a car enthusiast to appreciate and enjoy this type of car. Because these cars are getting harder to find I hope whoever buys it does at least some restoration to it and I hope it gets driven and seen so others can enjoy it too. Please only bid if you can pay. Thanks. Shipping: This car is in Redding California. Zip code 96002. It is not a very good place to get a carrier to ship a car from. I have sold several of my other classic cars recently and I took them to Sacramento California to meet the carrier. Zip code is 95766. I have my own car carrier and would charge $175 which is basically fuel. I would be willing to store the car for 4 weeks if needed. After that you would need to put the car in storage and I could help with those arrangements if needed. I will do whatever I can to help you. I recently helped a buyer ship my 65 Ford Pickup I sold to him to Pennsylvania without any problems. I drive this car on a weekly basis and get a lot of positive comments. I got my first Trans Am for my 16th Birthday and have been in love with them ever since. I have several Trans Am’s and other collector cars. I also have a massive die cast collection of Trans Am’s and other cars. Cars (especially Trans Am’s) are my passion but it is time for some of it to go. This car is a great car but I just don’t want to spend the time restoring it so it is one of the cars that I am letting go. It is the perfect car for someone wanting do a simple restoration or just a paint job and drive it or it is a great base for a full on complete restoration. It is getting harder and harder to find these cars in decent shape. PLEASE FEEL FREE TO COME LOOK AT THE CAR OR HAVE A THIRD PARTY CHECK IT OUT .
