The color is the same sprayed on a late model Z06 Corvette. Its rich. making it pop out just slightly. As far as body work goes. this one shows as a very professional job. Everything thing is flat. lines up straight. and even gaps show off tight panel fitment. Up front is a fiberglass 5 cowl hood that really makes a broad statement of what this car has to offer. Chrome work and trim on the body is what youd expect on 60s muscle. and it shows well. with some added accents on the rear quarter fenders. The real show comes from the bright. chrome Foose wheels that measure 18 up front and 20 in the rear. Swing open the doors and the raw attitude that is the appealing nature of this car continues inside. Cloth buckets. that appear to be out of a later model car. hold the driver and passenger. while a bench seat in the rear is covered in more soft fabric. You cant look inside this car and not see the bright yellow nitrous bottle. Yes. it is a functioning bottle with an arming switch and purge button on the center command center. and an activation switch on the Grant GT Steering wheel. To program and monitor the 4L80E transmission is a Compushift control module that will control the shift converter clutch lock-up. Autometer gauges have been installed to monitor necessary engine vitals. and an Alpine AM/FM/CD player powers Polk Audio speakers. Adding some flash to the interior is a body matched dash that is accented nicely with Firebird branded floor mats. And when things heat up. youve got the option of putting down the power windows or cranking up the cold air conditioning. An electric fan and aluminum radiator keeps the 383 running cool. while spent gasses are sent through a large dual exhaust system for an aggressive sound that is undeniably muscle car. Youll even notice the gas tank has been fabricated to have the fuel pick-up at the rear. ensuring consistent power with hard launches. Power steering helps the driver keep his mind on other things. while power four-wheel disc brakes come from a large Willwood set-up that was originally intended to be applied to a Z06. Cars like this 68 Firebird are just plain cool. Its seen less than 1200 miles since being restored. you simply cant duplicate this build for what were asking.
