Description of 1967 Pontiac Firebird |
Hello and thanks for clicking on my 1967 Pontiac Firebird 400! This fun Pontiac muscle car has been consigned for sale to my dealership by its owner, who has had the car since 2007. The car was restored around 2004 but I don't have much information on what was done so, what you see is what you get! What we see is a great looking Firebird 400 with no visible rust, that runs & drives great. The Maize Yellow paint with contrasting black side stripes looks good and shines well. Other than a few minor chips and cracks (see photos), the paint is in good condition. The glass, chrome and stainless is all in excellent condition. The staggered size Cragar mag wheels & tires (P195/70R15's front & P295/50R15's rear) and traction bars, give the car an old school stance. The hood scoops, chin spoiler, rear spoilerand hood tach complete the classic muscle car look of the exterior. Underhood is very tidy and well done. The rebuilt 400 cubic inch engine is topped by an Edelbrock intake & carb and has chrome valve covers. The engine number is 79285, with an X5 code. A quick internet search told me that makes it a 1973 block, but please do your own research because I'm no expert. The exhaust exits through headers and dual exhaust with shorty Flowmaster mufflers and chrome tips. Inside the trunk is clean and nearly pristine with a correct jack. The interior is in excellent condition but has two small flaws that I can see: there is a crack in the drivers side armrest and the sail panels need tobe re-glued (see photos). The seats, carpet, door panels and dash are all in great shape. All the factory gauges are in place and an AM/FM/Cassette player has been added in place of the original radio. The console housing the shifter for the three speed automatic transmission is in good condition too. Looking past the wood rim steering wheel at the working iconic hood tach is a real blast! This Firebird starts, runs, drives and stops with no issues. It doesn't smoke, leak or make funny noises. It sounds fantastic too! The transmission shifts fine, bothup and down, and the brakes stop the car without pulling, pulsing or noise. As far as I can tell, everything on this car is in proper working order and there are no issues. The doors and windows all open and close properly and the car is very solid. It's a car you can just jump into and go with confidence. Fly in and drive home! Please note that I can't take any trades on this Firebird. Contact me with any questions, photo requests, or to schedule a test drive. Thanks Again for looking and Good Luck! |
