Most All of Our Auctions End Early Call Us for A Great Price 865 988 8088 Up for sale we have a 1970 Pontiac GTO Convertible. This is real GTO with the 242 VIN. It has a lot of paper work that goes with it like the build sheet, owner warrant book, protect-o plat, and the original bill of sale. When restored it was redone in the factory colors inside and out and we were told that it it's an original 81,000 miles' car. In the paragraphs to follow we will give a brief description of the exterior, interior, and driveline of the Pontiac, but first we would like to tell you a little about us. Smoky Mountain Traders is a classic car dealer in east Tennessee. We are family owned, operated, and own our entire inventory, no consignments, and only deal in muscle cars and vintage auto. You can count on us to have 70 to 80 cars at all times. We don't have a big show room that our customers would otherwise pay for. So, that's how we can sell for less than other dealers. To contact us for more information, pictures, or any questions call our office at (865)988-8088 or visit our SmokyMountainTraders website. We will start off with the exterior of the GTO. The body is rock solid and retains a lot of the factory sheet metal. It was pulled apart then took to the metal to ensure a laser straight body. Everything is covered in the Verdoro Green which is the factory color for it. The paint has a mirror finish and is slick in the jams and trunk as well. To accent the exterior a new White Top was installed at the time of the resto. This being a GTO it came with the hood mounted tach that is working. All the glass is factory with new seals along with new weather stripping. To finish off the exterior it's sitting on a set of Factory Rallys with Red Line Tires. Next, we will take a look at the interior of the Convertible. On the inside it's done in Sandalwood which is also the factory color for this car. It has the correct bucket seats and console that has the wood grain trim. When you look at the dash, the dash pad looks great and everything looks correct with the factory AM FM radio. This is a Power Top car that has a boot to match the interior for when the top is down. Also, this GTO comes with the factory style floor mats. Finally, we will take a look at the driveline of the Pontiac. Under the hood it all looks like it would have in 1970 and features the Matching Numbers 400 Block that's mated to a 400 Turbo Trans and a 10 Bolt Rear End. The engine is dressed with the correct style chrome valve covers and chrome breather top. The exhaust flows through stock manifolds with duals. The steering is Power and the Brakes are standard four-wheel drum. You'll notice the radiator is new and is a four core. When you look under this Convertible the floor pans and frame all appear solid. If we can help you in any way with questions or a specific picture, you can call our office at (865)988-8088.
