CALL DAN AT 513-256-5543 WITH ANY QUESTIONS ON THIS VEHICLE GO TO CINCY CLASSIC CARS FOR 150 PLUS PHOTOS OF CAR Cincy Classic Cars is proud to offer this 1981 Factory 4 Speed Trans AM which is a low factory production TA being only 1 of 3225 4 Speed T-Top TA's made in 1981. This TA is in excellent overall stock condition with low actual miles of 76,664. This Trans Am features a beautiful repaint in factory Dark Maroon with new decals, a beautiful mostly original interior, and the original numbers matching 305 engine, see vin stamp on engine block photo below. This Trans Am has no visible rust on body or underneath and is very solid with great lines. It was rust proofed when new by "Rusty Jones," see supporting photo below from door jamb. This Trans Am is finished in the beautiful and desirable color combinations of Dark Maroon Metallic (code 77) over Medium Doeskin (code 64R) vinyl interior. This is the factory color scheme as verified on the trim tag pictured below and included Factory Build Sheet. Very importantly the original engine is still in the car with low miles. The low actual miles is not only verified by the excellent overall condition of the car but also by the Ohio Title pictured below stating the miles as "Actual." Also the Original Factory Build Sheet was found behind the rear seat during cleaning and comes with the car. This was tucked in the rear seat on the Assembly line after the car was built and completely verifies the authenticity of this Fantastic TA and its rare configuration. Up until a few months ago this TA had spent its entire life in Altoona PA, the town it was originally sold in. Exterior The Dark Maroon exterior is in beautiful restored condition. This Trans Am was treated to a professional repaint in factory Dark Maroon with all new decals. The paint is in great condition and shines very well with no signs of visible rust and both bumpers are in great shape with no flaking, faded paint, or spider webbing. The decals look new and are in excellent shape. There may be some minor imperfections that are not noticeable in the photos, but nothing was intentionally excluded from the photos. The tires have nice tread left and are sized 225/70/15 and the Rally Wheels are OEM originals and are in good shape. These are the correct wheels that came on the car as indicated on the Build Sheet. Trunk is very solid and clean with the original space saver spare tire and jack, with a correct felt trunk mat. Interior The Medium Doeskin vinyl interior of this Trans Am is mostly original and in great shape. The seat covers are in excellent condition with no noticeable wear, rips, stains or seam splits. The carpet is original and still looks very good for its age. The original dash is in excellent condition with no cracks or faing and the dash bezel is in great condition as well. The original 8 track AM/FM stereo is still in the car today and works well, but there is some static in the volume knob intermittently. This is the correct stereo as indicated on the included Build Sheet. Thankfully the dash has never been cut for a modern stereo. The door panels are original as well and are still in great shape and both door pulls are solid and in tact. The headliner and package tray are also original and both in very good shape. All interior lights and gauges work as they should outside of the clock. The horn, stereo, wipers and rear defrost also work. All glass on this TA is Original "LOF" factory glass, which is an great indication that this TA was never in a major accident as glass is usually damaged in an accident. This car has not been smoked in; there is no aroma what so ever. Mechanical This Trans Am is in excellent mechanical condition with only 76,664 actual miles on the original 305 engine. Not only is the "Actual" mileage verified by the overall great condition of this TA but also by the Ohio title pictured bellow stating the mileage as "Actual." The transmission appears to be original as well as several of the vin characters match the photo below of the transmission vin stamp, but its still a little difficult to read. We have driven this car numerous times and it always performs very well, does not run hot, rides tight, and is always a joy to drive. In the video one can observe this car running and driving with no excessive rattles or noises, and the car handles and performs very well. This Trans Am is an exceptional driver that feels great on the road and at highway speeds. There is no smoke when starting or driving the car. It starts right away every time, idles well, and runs excellent. This TA runs out very well and is really quick With the factory 3.42 rear gears and 4 speed Transmission. The brakes do not pull and stop as they should. True dual exhaust was recently installed on this TA and it has a nice rumble at idle and cruising speeds and no noticeable drone. A new radiator was just installed this week and keeps this TA running cool. Coolant was flushed and oil and filter were changed this week as well. Tune up was also performed recently, new cap and rotor, spark plugs and wires. The upper radiator hose is still in place with factory tower clamps. Also, the Original engine is very clean and nicely detailed as one can see from the photos. This is a factory NON AC car which really cleans up the engine bay and has the looks of old school muscle.
