Description of 1986 Pontiac Fiero GT

Listing is AS IS 1986 Pontiac Fiero GT V6 2.8L. History about the car... I bought the car unseen for 3k. The car was winterized and placed into a covered storage unit every year. When it was put away in 2002 it stayed there until April of 2017. My friend called me about the car being sold by the lady who rented the unit from him. I purchased the car unseen knowing it was low mileage and clean inside and out. I paid to tow the car to my friends house. We drained the gas tank and replaced the Fuel pump and sending unit. Then cleared all the fuel lines and replaced the fuel filter. Also replaced the air filter and the 3 front spark plugs(easy to access). Being that the car sat in storage for 15 years I purchased and installed a set of OE fuel injectors along with draining the gas from the fuel rail . Also replaced all rotors and pads along with greasing everything all around the car. Also changed the oil and filter. Put in a new battery. With everything done finished to the fuel system I turned the key and she fired up almost instantly. I allowed the car to sit idle for 30 min so it could get up to temperature. Great oil pressure. Great Temperature. Radiator fluid appeared fresh. Fuel gauge works with new sending unit. RPMs look good and all gauges work properly. I then blead the brakes and added some R134 to the AC system. AC got cold and brakes worked perfect. Test drove the car for about 5 miles and parked it in the driveway. It ran strong but still needs a complete tuneup. Sunroof and window seals work without leaking. I washed the car and seen NO sign of water getting into it. Doors open and shut properly. The car is AS IS. I can not guarantee the AC will hold a charge. It has a sticker showing it was serviced in 1998 and R134 was put in it. The tires are same tires from when it was placed into storage. They were low when I bought the car. I put air in them and they have held pressure since April. They show signs of drying out and would recommend them to be replaced. I would recommend a complete tune up for the car. Its original miles 60k. Super clean interior. One of the interior bezels has 2 small cracks in it. Also roof light button needs replaced. 2 buttons on top. one doesn't work. The rear view mirror is cracked. The power windows work perfect. It shifts into all 4 gears and reverses. I have a video of the car being started with a view of the gauges along with the headlights being turned on showing they go up and down properly. I did not replace the 3 back spark plugs being that they were difficult and car fired up. I also purchased a seal kit for a 2.8L V6 pontiac motor in case more work would be needed. Im selling the car AS IS along with the 3 spark plugs and seal kit. The car is 31 years old and needs some TLC to be perfect. Email me if you have any questions or concerns. The paint is not perfect but looks great from 6ft. Has a couple minor road on the panels. Its not a show car its a clean low miles 1986 Fiero GT. It idles perfect and will upload a video on youtube and place the link in description once I have done so. It seems to get along really good. Has minor hesitation but that could be more from me not familiar with the clutch. Its not a new car. Its 31 years old. Feel free to come look if local or want to make the trip to NW Indiana. Just reach out to me and Ill see what we can get scheduled. I have NOT noticed any fluids leaking or dripping and all appear clean. AS IS. Thanksyoutube video of car running available but ill have to email the link

I received a question about miles on the car and if they were original. I assure you they are ORIGINAL miles on the odometer. Please feel free to stop by and check the car out in person. The interior is all original and is in excellent condition. There are not signs of sun damage or excessive wear. The good being it was in a covered storage unit for 15 years has preserved the cars interior. At the same time it was put away for 15 years and not ran. I have seen Fiero's with 150k+ miles go for around $3000 and also seen cars with similar miles to this one listed for $10-14,000. I purchased the car without even seeing it run knowing it was a time capsule that needed some attention to get it going. I do not expect to get $10-14,000 for the car being that it still needs some TLC to make perfect being it sat in storage for the last 15 years and is being offered as is. I did get the car to start and drove it 5 miles. It shifts. It drives. It stops. It need tires cause it sat for 15 years on them but still holds air. Its a true 60K mile Fiero and all original parts except the brakes, filters and routine maintenance. Any questions feel free to email me. Ill answer all questions honestly to the best of my knowledge. The car fax shows a possible warning about the miles. It was titled to the same owner when this warning shows. My guess is the car was registered that year and the BMV employee didn't go outside to document the miles. Not sure why this warning is coming up. The original owners name is on the title and is an honest older lady that would verify this info is legit. I also have documented repairs and receipts for various dates that previous owner that took it in for routine services such as wiper blades, AC, Oil changes, brake jobs...etc. Through the years at local repairs shops with dates and miles on the receipts. All the way up to the last oil change before it was put into storage in 2002. Thanks for looking. Reserve has been met and it will sell.
