Description of 1989 Pontiac Trans Am GTA |
Hello. I'm putting my 1989 Trans Am up for sale. I've owned the car for a few years and put around 4,000 miles on it. The previous owner owned it for almost 12 years and only put around 10,000 miles on it. It has the rear spoiler deleted. It is also lowered, has headers and a custom y-pipe. All this work was done before by previous owner. The body is in nice condition with a couple cosmetic blems but no rust. The interior is fair. The drivers seat is worn some. I believe the interior is original. It has an aftermarket radio but also have factory radio. The engine and transmissionI believe is original and can check numbers to verify. Pretty sure most of the car is all original considering when I replaced the rear shocks last year the ones that came off had a date code of 1988. The transmission is a 700R4 but has a corvette servo and had the torque converter replaced just before I purchased from previous owner. Car originated in Ohio, which is why the front fascia has the license plate holes. The engine smokes a little for a few seconds on start up which is valve seals that are starting to were out. There is a clunk/rattle coming from passenger rear area when hitting hard bumps. I tightened the lower control arm bolt which helped. Tint is coming off rear hatch window. Many parts on this car are original. The car is in great condition now but parts will need to start being replaced as miles are put on it, but get compliments and heads turning everywhere you go. I don't think there has ever been a time where I drove this car and did not receive a compliment. I know this is not an absolute 100% pristine car but it is very nice so my asking price is reflective. I am selling this car because my family is growing and Ihave higher priorities, otherwise I would never sell this car. |
