Hello and thank you for dropping in to check out my auction. I am excited tooffer this car to the public, because I feel that second-generation Pontiac Trans Ams are some of the most beautiful cars ever made, and this one is truly special. One thing that I want to make clear, is that this is not your everyday car. This Trans Am is of a superior collector quality, and is a rarely seen Y84 code Special Edition "Bandit" as documented by the Pontiac Historical Society! This is an investment grade vehicle that will never lose value if maintained. Please bid accordingly!

Everybody knows and loves "The Bandit". These cars are one of the most recognizable, iconic, and loved designs ever produced by Detroit. The last real musclecar produced was the 1979 Pontiac Trans Am with the big V8 muscle and WS6 packages, which added the superb handling that came with the upgraded suspension, wide wheels,and 4 wheel disc brakes. Add into that the Y84 Special Edition package with the beautiful Starlight Black paint, accented with all the gold decals and appointments, and you have a very rare and desirable dream car. This particular Trans Am was purchased by my father back in the mid-2000's. He is 66 years old now and is ready to move on from the sports cars of his youth, so we are offering this rare beauty for sale at NO RESERVE.

Starting with the drivetrain and suspension. The engine is the original matching numbers Oldsmobile 403. It was pulled out, along with the original matching numbers TH350 transmission, and both were rebuilt. Everything on themechanical drivetrainis either brand new or rebuilt. It runs cool and it runs right. The suspension is the original high performance WS6 spec, and works great with new shocks and bushings. This car also came equipped with 4 wheel disc brakes, and as with most of the rest of the car, every single component is brand new. The wheels are the original WS6 8-inch wide snowflakes, which were sent out and refinished. Mechanically, the car is perfect. It drives like a brand new car, tight and right, as it should. It is docile around town, but once youget out on the open road, you just can't wait toopen up the huge secondary "4 barrels" on the Quadrajet and listen to it roar as the nose of the car lifts and you are pressed into the seat. There is nothing else like it!

The interior, as with the rest of the car, is basically all brand new. All of the weatherstripping on the car was replaced, with exception of the t-top seals, which are still in great shape and allow the t-tops to fit properly.The deluxe custom seat covers were replaced with brand new ones, as were the door panels, carpeting, package tray, console, and the headliner. The seats are firm and comfortable. Even the seat belts are brand new. The stereo is a modern AM/FM receiver with built in Bluetooth/MP3/AUX inputs, so you can play music with your phone or any other digital music device. Everythingoperates, and all the gauges work. The dome lights and map lightall work. Even the darn clock still works. There are no squeaks or rattles.The interior of the car is absolutely beautiful and it literally SMELLS like a brand new car inside.

As for the exterior, this is where the car really shines, both literally and figuratively! The only way I can describe the car is to say that it is a PERFECT 10. There are no chips, no scratches, and no dents. The paint reflects like an ink black mirror, and thefamous golden decals and pinstriping provide a stunning contrast that will catch everyone's eye for miles. All of the graphics are correct and in perfect condition. The doors open and shut nicely. There are no imperfections to be found anywhere. I can not stress the point enough.....this Trans Am is absolutely beautiful. Can you imagine rolling into your local cruise night with this thing? Or taking it to a national show? Show it or drive it.....it's up to you!

To sum up this Trans Am, you will be purchasing a car that just like the one that rolled off the assembly line in 1979. This car is a true time machine. It has all the options you could ever ask for: T-tops, deluxe interior with the Y84 Special Edition package, and the WS6 Handling Package with 4 wheel disc brakes. This car has never been shown, so the new owner will be the first to reap the rewards of all the shows this car wins in the future. Don't waste your time looking around for a better one or having one restored. This one is DONE, and it's as right and about as good as it gets.
