Description of 1972 Pontiac Firebird |
Back up for sale since the previous winning bidder thought he didn't actually have to pay for the car. Please don't bid if you can't pay for it. His loss since this car is awesome. I have a 72 firebird that I bought about 2 years ago.I stripped it down to bare metal did some body work primed it and painted it a flat white with flat black hood and trunk lid. The brakes have been converted over to hydroboost with c5 z06 hubs rotors and calipers front and rear. The suspension is detroit speed lowered 2" front and rear with mini tub kit. Global west subframe poly bushings. XXR 19" rims with 265s up front on 305s in the rear. The engine is a 06 LQ4 (iron block LS2) with 100k miles. It has a CAI and a rewired standalone 3 wire harness. The computer has been retuned already for the set up about 400hp. The trans is the beefy 4L80e that will handle any abuse. It has Ls1 radiator and fans. EFI fuel tank with aeromotive 340 fuel pump installed. The car has trans am fenders, race seats, new door hinges, new carpet with dynomat sound deadener, quick ratio steering box and 3.23 posi 10 bolt 8.5 rear end. The car has has new fuel lines, truck mounted battery, f&r windshields, doors, gauges, front fenders, bumper, radiator support with fans, PTFB subframe connectors, PTFB g-braces, power steering pump with hydroboost lines, wiring harness, Pacesetter LT headers, 3" exhaust, several coolers and more have been installed. I just don't have the time like I used too. It's not a show car but built as a driver and auto cross car. Like any finished project the car needs a couple bugs worked out of it. I have a new dash cap for it, the door panels are currently off in the pics because I'm adjusting the door glass. I've attached a link of it running.https://www.dropbox.com/s/52img7z6cux2wei/Video%20Dec%2029%2C%205%2011%2013%20PM.mov?dl=0 This car is a low wide beast that gets compliments every time it's out of the garage. Do your research on the value of this car, eBay Barrett-Jackson mecum wherever. It's very rare to find a early 2nd gen built like this. Bring the Offers! Thanks |
