Description of 1988 Pontiac Fiero GT |
1988 Pontiac Fiero GT V6 5-Speed Flat Black Stealth Design Original mileage: 171,150 California Plate: PRE FIRE Color: Flat Black 3M Wrap, Tinted Windows Location: Orange County, California The 1988 Pontiac Fiero GT V6 5-Speed is the most desirable of all Fieros due to the upgrades Pontiac made to the suspension and brakes for only the 1988 model year prior to canceling the program. This American mid-engine classic has just celebrated its 30th birthday by undergoing a comprehensive restoration by noted racer, builder and world record holder Chip Yates who uses the car to drive to the airport togo flyhis airplane - it is always garaged or in the shade. This incredibly restored car features: Now let's be realistic - this car is like brand new, but for the glitches that every 30-year-old car would have (see green highlighted areas in the photos: The center console has two small slices in it, the trim around the shift knob was pulling up so I stitched it down with stainless wire that you can see in the edges. The dashboard has a small pushed in area the size of a thumb, and the plastic on the top of the instrument cluster has a crack in it. The driver's seat has a worn spot and the side trim on the floor next to the parking brake has a cracked missing area. The headliner is fine and not drooping but has not been restored and same for the sun visors. Thanks for your interest and happy bidding! |
