1967 Real 242 GTO New Front Clip Solid Frame Rails 55+ Photos Great Car To Build

This is a true 242 GTO that was born on the third week of December right here in good old Kansas City. It is a fairly complete car that has a solid frame to work from. It is an excellent starting point for anyone who is looking to build an investment grade automobile. Located below you will find over 50 photos of the GTO.

The body of this GTO does have its share of common issues but nothing out of the ordinary. Such as quarters, trunk, inner/outer wheel housing, tail panel, front floors. The rear floors are surprisingly solid as is the side cowl pieces, frame rails, a-pilars. It seems that someone removed the vinyl top decades ago and saved the roof. We just recently purchased a new set of fenders and a hood ($1,200) and we have put them on the GTO.

The GTO does have an engine and transmission in it. I do not know the condition of either. I would just assume they will require rebuilding as they have clearly sat for quite some time.

The interior of the GTO is complete minus the carpet and door panels. The center console is in fairly good shape considering its age and has one cracked area located on the back that is still repairable.

Every year it gets harder to find these second generation GTO's. If you check out the auction results, they are a car that continues to rise in value. This GTO presents a great opportunity for anyone who is looking to buy right and build it the way they see fit. I do have a clear title for this GTO.
