Up for sale is an opportunity to own a 1967 Pontiac Firebird Convertible. This classic has all the potential in the world but needs a little assistance to reach it! Over the past handful of years I was looking for a classic Pontiac convertible project car. Something that I could buy, restore as I drive and add value as I go. I came across this 67' Firebird and fell in love. This car was the correct year, color, and it was a convertible. Something to get the girlfriend excited about cruising in the summer months. I purchased this Pontiac, it arrived here from Iowa and I was super excited to start the project. The car had a slight dash fire and the fire took out the wiring, dash, carpet, windshield and the obvious hole in the convertible top. Those parts along with the various trim pieces I could all find online and priced reasonably. But, all the hype was detoured when I realized I simply have no time for something of this nature. Working 60 hours a week and trying to spend time with the family just does not have this Firebird as a priority at the moment. It is up for sale and priced to sell, please read the entire ad and ask any and all questions. The guy I purchased the Pontiac from was the one who had it restored apx 5 years ago, it was his dream car at the time and he even drove it on the GoodGuys tour. The fire happened in garage two years ago, till this day he is not sure how the fire started. He was hopeful to restore it once again, but relocation forced a sale of his Firebird and a couple of motorcycles and that is how the car arrived to me, in Michigan. The body is sold, underneath is very nice, floors, frame and trunk all appear to be original. Paint shows well from a distance but has obvious flaws (see pics) and the rear passenger quarter panel or passenger door is slightly missed align, I am not a body expert but I think any novice body guy can re-align it without an issue. Pontiac 400 c.i. engine starts and runs with a jump wire and the transmission does shift into gear but I have not drove this car what so ever. All glass is in good condition, with the exception of the front windshield. No structural damage visible, cowl panel, firewall and windshield frame all hold true.I have tried to include as many pictures as possible, I am a classic car enthusiast, not a classic car expert and I have tried to list this car for sale to the best of my ability. If you have any questions or would like more pics, please feel free to call 269-355-6302 or send me a PM. I will help with the sale anyway possible and will assist with the loading of car and will even help on locating a transporter. This would be a great project for someone to bring this Pontiac back to its former glory. Its an awesome base to start with and I would consider this an excellent investment with a desirable classic when this Firebird is finished.
