1955 PONTIAC STAR CHIEF ORIGINAL ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION THE ENGINE HAS NEVER BEEN REBUILT AND IS THE ORIGINAL 287 V8. THE TRANSMITION HAS BEEN REBUILT TEN PLUS YEARS AGO AND IS THE ORIGINAL HYDROMATIC OR POWER GLIDE I FORGET WHICH ONE. BUT DURING THE REBUILD THE SPEEDOMETER GEAR BROKE AND NEVER WAS REPLACED SO IT HAS NOT BEEN KEEPING ORIGINAL MILES BUT HAS ONLY BEEN BEING DRIVEN 3 TO 5 TIMES A YEAR AND IS GARAGED. THE SPEEDOMETER READS 53230 BUT AGAIN IS NOT THE ORIGINAL MILES. VEHICLE STARTS AND RUNS GOOD DOES HAVE RUST AND DOES HAVE BODY AND CHROME DINGS AND DOES HAVE ELECTRIC ISSUES WITHE THE TAIL LIGHTS AND DOES OVER HEAT AFTER A WHILE IT HAS A SMALL ALUMINUM RADIATOR I DO HAVE THE ORIGINAL ONE, AND DOES NEED QUIT A BIT OF REPLACEMENT GLASS AS YOU CAN SEE FROM THE PICTURES. I HAD THE INTERIOR REDONE ABOUT EIGHT YEARS AGO, THE CAR USE TO BE GRAY AND WHITE BUT WAS SANDED AND PRIMED ABOUT FOUR YEARS AGO THEN A VERY SUB PAR PAINT JOB WAS APPLIED BUT LOOKS BETTER THAN IT USE TO. ITS NOT A SHOW CAR YET HAS A LOT OF POTENTIAL AND IS STILL VERY FUN TO WAX UP ON SUMMER DAYS I AM NOT A MECHANIC BUT WILL DO MY BEST TO ANSWER ANY QUESTIONS YOU MAY HAVE.
