1968 Pontiac Firebird coupe!
This is one of the nicest 1968 Pontiac Firebirds that we have seen in a very long time in terms of being original and this solid all original rust free undercarriage and body in Very good condition!
You are bidding on extraordinarily clean investment grade 1968 Pontiac Firebird hard top. This Firebird has a strong running 350 engine, automatic transmission, power steering, and drum brakes. This car runs and drives well, quite reliabl, but could use tuned up, exhaust and normal overall maintenance for optimal performance. With that being said it could be used as a daily driver almost immediately with very little effort. The odometer shows just under 53,000 miles but is not believed be original. This amazing Firebird was originally autumn bronze and seems to have been painted at least once in the past and a few touchups recently with a brand new 400 hood. (The new hood scoops are not shown in the pic, but new painted hood scoops are included and will be installed in the hood. The were not here in time for the listing) The paint color is still the original color. The overall finish is decent for a daily driver, rust free and the older finish shines nicely, body gaps aligned well, and overall presentation is nice. This exceptionally solid Firebird can be enjoyed as is and repainted down the road. All the chrome is present, original, and still looks very good. The black interior still presents well and it appears as though the front bucket seats are out of a newer firebird. Overall interior seems good. It could use new carpet and will definitely need a headliner because the headliner is torn. Overall the interior presents well for a daily driver. This is a truly one of a kind solid car that one can drive daily and enjoy while slowly restoring to your specifications! Still presents super nice as a daily driver patina car paint shines well, all panels aligned well looks excellent from 10-15 feet away. The undercarriage is immaculate never having more than minor surface rust! Options in detail vehicle condition below
Body frame paint.. entire vehicle is 100% original and rust free condition the undercarriage, frame, and floors are original and absolutely rust free! Body 99% rust free except a minor rust bubbling on front of qtr panel and by roof gutter. These areas a very minor and easily repaired prior to refinishing. No body panels will need replacement as they are extremely solid and virtually rust-free. The majority of the paint is older and the finish shines very well and all panels are aligned properly there have been a few new or touchups to the paint including a brand new 400 style but overall presentation very good for daily driver . Certainly a vehicle somebody can enjoy as is and repaint down the road. All exterior chrome is present and appears to be in decent original condition! All weatherstripping is present but probably should be replaced sooner rather than later due to dry rot.

Drivetrain.. Vehicle has a strong running 350 engine with automatic transmission new or aluminum radiator vehicle runs drives and shifts as it should. The vehicle will need an exhaust system and we suggest a tuneup prior to daily use for safety and performance purposes.
Hydraulic brake system. Front and rear drum brakes and tire hydraulic brake system has been maintained and is in good operating condition.
Suspension and tires. Tires are older but in decent used condition with decent tread. Entire vehicle suspension and power steering system has been inspected and appears to be in decent operating condition power steering pump does squeal under hard turns.
Electrical/lights.. brand new alternator. For the most part the majority of the electrical components work. The horn works brake and turn signals work most of the time but intermittently do not. Radio does not work it could be fuses but we did not check.
Interior.. The black interior presents quite well overall the car could use a new carpet at some point down the road definitely needs a new headliner sooner rather than later backseat is the original one and is in very nice shape front bucket's present well driver's front bucket has a couple cracks but these front buckets are from a different year vehicle but still look decent. The dash pad has a crack other than that the interior presents quite well but definitely has plenty of things to tinker with and spruce up along the way.. Overall the interior presents quite well for being 50 years old and can be used as a daily driver as is, but a radio is recommended :)
