Description of 1977 Pontiac Grand Prix |
I am continuing to downsize and I am selling my 1977 Pontiac Grand Prix - Original condition. This car is in good condition with the original paint and rust free body. The vinyl interior is still soft and supple to sit on and there is no damage the dash or other vinyl interior. The shoulder belt clips need to be replaced. There are some light scrapes on the side and some wheel arch trim damage from the elderly owner driving into and out of the garage. This car was garage kept and was not driven in foul weather. There is some flaking chrome / oxidation on the top of the front bumper due to a leak in the garage roof. The car was purchased new in Marlton, Nj from Burns Pontiac, the original car invoice is included as well as the check carbon copy. The car was owned for a long time and it did not get driven very much. The original owner had the car up until a few years ago and it went to the nephew upon the passing of the original family member.I purchased the car from him. Since I have owned the car, I have only changed the water pump and had the air conditioning converted to r134a and it blows very cold. When I bought the car, I had thought that I would have more time to drive and enjoy the car. Instead, I have found that I have too many vehicles and between taking care of the others as well as property maintenance, I just don't drive it at all. I think that I have driven it about four times since buying it and I just don't want to leave it sitting. I have a series of insurance/registration cards from the original owner that shows the continuous ownership. There are no leaks under the car. I have included the maximum number of photographs that are allowed. I can always take more if necessary. I have included the links to two videos, one where the car is being started with a walk around and the second showing a short ride. I believe that everything works, however, the accelerator pump is weak and I would kit the carburetor if I were keeping it. This is the video of the car starting and a walk around of the car while running, please note the condition of the various aspects of the car. 1977 Pontiac running and walk around - YouTube Video will open in a new window This is a video of a short drive. Driving 1977 Pontiac Grand Prix - YouTube Video will open in a new window While I believe that the car is very nice, any prospective buyer must rely on their own judgement as to the condition of the car. Inspections are encouraged and welcomed before bidding. The car is being sold in "AS IS, WHERE IS" condition. If you decide to purchase the car, I am requiring a $400 non-refundable deposit within 48hours of the listing end. I am also requiring full payment within 4 business days (even though the ebay default shows 3 days). Cash or wire transfer is preferred, however, if you wish to pay with any kind of Cashiers check, the car and title will not be released until the check has cleared at my bank. I will only accept Paypal for the deposit. The car must be removed from the premises within 15 business days, after payment clears my bank.I am sensitive to shipping issues and timing. If there are extenuating circumstances, please contact me to discuss. I am happy to answer any questions that you may have. If you wish to speak with me regarding the car, please contact me through e-bay and supply your telephone number. I will call you back.
