Introduced in 1970, the second generation Firebird was only available as a fastback coupe. Designed in tandem with the Chevrolet Camaro, the Firebird was a popular halo car for the Pontiac range. Government regulations started killing muscle cars in the 1970's left and right. However, Pontiac kept producing the Firebird Trans-Am with specs that were on the edge of legality, with perhaps some fudging of some horsepower numbers. Of course, Smokey and the Bandit made the late 70's models a... highly desired and iconic piece of cultural automotive history that still hold mass appeal to this day. GR Auto Gallery is pleased to present this 1978 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am for your consideration. Finished in a stunning shade of Mayan Red that the current owner claims to have repainted 20 years ago.
