Description of 1973 Pontiac Firebird Formula |
Up for sale is my award winning dream car that has taken 5 years plus tons of $$$$ to finish and only has 390 miles put on it since the build. I purchased the roller car from Lakeway Texas and began to tear the car down to the frame. The dual snorkel Formula was only produced 4 years and in my opinion, it’s the meanest looking front end the Firebird has ever had; however, the most iconic Firebird (due to the Smokey and the Bandit movie) was the 1977-78andI liked the 1978 Trans AM front fenders and wheel fender spoilers and incorporated them into the car. I also wanted the honeycomb style wheels but not the 15s so I took the design and had Pro Wheels manufacture me a set that resembled the Year One style but sized how I wanted them. I also love the power and performance the newer cars have so I incorporated the newer LS power train, lighting, braking systems, suspension, exhaust systems, sound systems, electronic windows and locks and more. This car is basically brand new and by far one of the coolest, mean looking formulas I have seen or driven. My family has nicknamed the car “The Beast” which I truly believe it is the Beast (lol). I had planned to keep the car forever but I had major back surgery and now having to resign my job and sell my car collection. Below is a quick list of what is inside this car: 1973 Firebird Formula Roller Car - 1978 Firebird fenders Interior - Passive alarm system Trunk - Fessler billet trunk lid lift actuator and bracket Suspension, Wheels and Brakes Engine Compartment and Powertrain - Aluminum hood hinges - Completely rebuilt 10 bolt rear end with 343 gears and I installed a pro aluminum cover with main bearing cap retainers to add support in case you want to step on it Note: this car is no joke, first car show out and it pulled second place amongst $100,000 builds. Be careful around cops too, they seem to like me a lot :) |
