This nice example of a 1981 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am is in very good overall condition. The exterior was repainted at some point due to California's tightening pollution regulations. The water-based paint often failed and delaminated during the warranty period and subsequently, these cars had to be repainted.The original gold colored screaming chicken hood decal was replaced in 2008 due to fading with this red/orange version. The interior is original cloth is very clean and in good condition. The engine easily cranks and runs strong, though there is an oil leak, possibly from the valve covers. The factory AC has also been recharged. This car has been garaged since purchased by the current owner in 2008 and has a battery trickle charger installed.
