Description of 1970 Pontiac GTO GTO

The original concept of this build was to restore a low option, lightweight GTO, into a RAIV clone. This is an original red, four speed, manual brakes, and manual steering GTO. I will add the PHS to the listing later. Last registration was 1978. Then car was left for dead sometime around 1982 when title last changed hands. As found condition, with original worn paint, shown in last photo.
Frame off, and rotisserie restored. The paint is not cardinal red, as I don't like the orange tint in that color. It is more of a pure red. The pictures do not do it justice, as I had just trailered it through the rain a couple hundred miles, when I took them. The paint is beautiful. There is a ding by the rear window from a garage mishap. The underside is immaculate.
The original 400 WT block, and heads, were completely rebuilt by Paul Spotts, with a stroker crank and roller camshaft. I believe it is about 460 cubic inches now. The heads are original 1970 #614 Ram Air IV heads. These are not Service Replacement Heads. It is topped off with a working reproduction ram air system. Carb is a 1970 quadrajet for a 455.
It has reproduction RAIV exhaust manifolds and Inline Tube exhaust.
Inside the late 1969 dated M20 housing is a complete set of new M22 rock crusher gears, put together by a professional transmission shop.
The rear end is the original 3.55 posi. I had it looked at and was told it was in good condition. I had the pinion seal redone.
The dash was redone by Just Dashes. The dash bezel is a reproduction. The remaining interior is not done. It is gutted. Old interior parts go with it.
I never quite finished this car, so it has never been on the road. The motor and restoration are still mint.
