Up for sale is a 1965 pontiac bonneville. It is called a sport coupe but i don't think sport coupe and bonneville should be in the same sentence. It has bucket seats and an auto on the floor with console and vacuum guage. The body is in really nice shape with no rust,it was originally bulit in the Atlanta plant and spend most of its life in the south.Odometer says 50,097 mile but its probably 150,097 it runs and drives good.I have recently taken it off the road but i used it for cruising around on the weekends and trips to the local soft serve ice cream shops. It can be called a driver because it does need some work to get it to the next level. The bad points are that it needs a headliner I have all the trim pieces and the interior lights, the interior is all original except for the carpet. The seats have become stiff from age and the wood grain on the dash is lifting in spots. It has the original 389 4v with a 400 automatic with air conditioning. Also the transmission leaks some and my mechanic thinks it the shift linkage seal,i add some fluid over the summer. The air conditioning works but the blower whines when its on so I don't use it.The radio is pure static, now I remember why my dad never turned that on either. My family has always had these Bonnevilles as this is our 5th one and probably the nicest body of them all.It was painted about 3 years ago and although it wasn't a high end paint job it still looks really good.I have a Holly carb on it right now but will include the original carter afb and breather with it.Also included in the auction are a really nice set of 8 lug wheels with 5 trim rings that have seen some curb damage,4 really nice center caps, and aftermarket lug nuts. There are 2 brand new tires included with 5 rims. The 8 lug tire package is worth 2 grand if sold separately. She won't win at the shows but if you want a nice cruiser for the family to enjoy or to make a restomod out off it would be a real nice start.
