1979 Pontiac Trans Am. Nice driver quality car. Paint is nice, not perfect. Car color was originally Heritage Brown but at some point has been painted black with gold decals. Front nose has cracking near the hood, looks like it was painted that way. The interior is black cloth and black vinyl. Seats are in good condition with no rips. Door panels are in good shape. Dash pad has a couple cracks. All guages work except the clock. All lights work. Manual locks and windows. Tilt steering. Air conditioning works, but compressor sounds like a bearing could be bad. Car originally came with a Pontiac 301, but currently has a 1974 Pontiac 400 engine. It runs well with no ticks or smoke. It has a Holley 670 Street Avenger carburator with electric choke. Intake manifold is a Edelbrock Torker 2. MSD cap, rotor, coil and wires. Edelbrock chrome valve covers and air cleaner. New alternator. New water pump. Put a new Pypes x-pipe exhaust and new dual Flowmaster mufflers about 500 miles ago. New exahust tips were installed at that time also. The shaker scoop is attached to the hood, possibly glued(I don't see any screws). I don't have the factory air cleaner. I purchased the car this way. Body is solid. Trunk is solid. Undercarriage is solid, some undercoating is flaking off. Tire's have good tread. Car has a sunroof. Once again, I purchased it this way. Gold pinstripping is peeling up in some areas. Someone had put on the wrong alternator, and last year while driving the plastic cooling fan it had came apart and hit the bottom of the hood and dinged it. It cracked the paint where the bird is(shown in picture). Car isn't a trailer queen, but a nice driver you can enjoy and take to shows. Value on these car's is continuing to rise. I will answer any question's. Additional picture's upon request.
