Description of 1969 Pontiac GTO |
1969 Pontiac GTO Numbers matching 400/4 speed This GTO spent more than 41 years with its second owner in Tennessee who kept almost every receipt and correspondence with other Pontiac restorers and enthusiasts during this period. In 2013, he decided to sell to its third owner in North Carolina and immediately underwent a two year body off stock restoration to be completed in 2015 with only the color being changed from Liberty blue to black. I purchased this beauty in January 2018 and continued updating the GTO to give it more of a modern feel and a mild restmod transformation. In the original restoration all new bushings, shocks, weatherstripping, glass, and moldings were installed. Upon purchase I installed fast ratio power steering from Firebird Central, aluminum radiator with twin Derale fans, serpentine system from CVF,classic auto air and the original radio was shipped to R & B vintage radio and added usb and ipod capabilities. Other custom features include bucket seats from TMI and rear seat covered in matching material, custom steering wheel and staggered 18x9 and 17x8 Retro wheels to give it that aggressive stance. I have new projects and have decided to let it go to its next home. I have no doubt that the winning bidder will be excited to own this jewel. Only two paint issues that I know is small cracking in the endura bumber where the hood was originally too tight. The other is a paint/body flaw in the rear quarter that is difficult to see unless at the right angle and harder to capture in photos. If the new owner did deem it necessary to fix these flaws I would estimate they could be repaired for around $1,000-$1,200. I do possess the original restored rally wheels with BF Goodrich TA,s If the winning bidder would prefer I can swap them instead. I am not a dealer and am selling this car as is where is with no warranty. I have described this vehicle honestly and disclosed all that I am aware of. The mileage listed in the description is what shows on the odometer. I do not know if that is correct or not. Happy Bidding! |
