Description of 1967 Pontiac GTO

I have owned this car for over 25 years and modified this car to my personal tastes. It is not a "matching number" GTO. BUT.. It is a TRUE 242 GTO. VIN # 242177P186443
The car was originally Silver in color. I like Black.. (Complete repaint)It was originally a Auto trans with the his/hers. I like 4 speed. (Muncie)It took me over 2 years to find the correct 67 Hurst shifter to properly fit the center console. (it is year specific)
I replaced both front and rear bumpers. I replaced the rear with the Lemans bumper, I like the "clean look" without the backup lights. (my personal tastes.) wiring is unmodified should you feel you need them.I installed early 70's front disc brakes and a early 70's 400 engine to run on todays high test fuel. ( completely rebuilt) under 35k on engine,Actual Miles on the body unknown.New aluminum radiator, never runs over 180` degreesIt is a factory A/C car but I never reinstalled the compressor on the engine. condenser and evaporator installed, new A/C harness installed not fully connected as of yet. I am using a switch for blower motor on high if I need heat / defrost. It has the 355 posi rear end. 14" ralley II's on the car, I have a pair of 15's as well.It has the hood tach and 4 speaker high power radio W/usb por, and 10 disc CD player in the trunk.interior has been replaced from carpet to seat covers to headliner. It could use trunk floor panels replaced. ( I have the complete set for replacement.) It is still solid just pin holes started. One of the rear seatbelt latches is not working, I don't care my tigers don't use them and no one else sits back there.Yes the car has filler on the most common areas but the car is lazer straight and unscrews peoples heads as you go by.Has some bubbles re appearing and normal knicks. I have it professionally repaired about every 5 years.(not frame off)A labor of love here on Cape Cod in the northeast.Frame is solid and straight. It has always been a driver that wins trophys.I may regret selling my baby but I also have a love for Ford model 40 (33/34) and getting to age 71 has come so quickly. (SIGH)Some day that will make some sense to others. I sold my 34 and here I am.LOLEmail any questions or requests.Note: Car is for sale locally and I may stop the auction early if sold....
