Description of 1969 Pontiac GTO Coupe |
1969 Pontiac GTO - Professionally Rebuilt 455ci V8 w/4-Speed - Rebuilt Transmission - Original Interior and Paint Color - Build Sheet - (Please note: If you happen to be viewing this vehicle on a website other than our main website, it's possible that only some of our many photographs of this car are presented due to website limitations. To be sure you access all the photographs, please go to our main website: Garage Kept Motors.) Let your friends and neighbors be green with envy when they see this GTO parked in your driveway! This car is a gorgeous example of a GTO - finished in the original color combination, 455 with a 4 speed under the hood, and documentation of service make this a GTO to take into consideration. Midnight Green paint (code 57) covers the coke-bottle shape of this car and keeps the car a little more "under the radar" than the brighter green hue of Pontiac's Verdoro Green. Those who know what they are looking at will immediately spot the rear spoiler, and those 3 important letters displayed in many spots on the exterior. Most of the exterior looks to be wearing not only the original paint color, but also original paint, so yes, there are a few small scratches and splits in the paint in a couple spots. Inside the car is a matching Green interior (code 256) that features bucket seats, console, factory tach, Pioneer stereo, auxiliary gauges, and wood trim. A Hurst shifter aides in gear selection, and looks cool! This car left the factory with a 400ci V8 mated to a 4 speed transmission, however a professionally rebuilt 455ci V8 now lives under the hood. The Muncie 4 speed transmission was professionally inspected and rebuilt. Holley 4bbl carburetor, Edelbrock intake manifold, Hooker Headers, MSD Ignition, Taylor Spark Plug wires, polished valve covers, and polished alternator are all awesome extras on the engine. The engine sounds great and has no problem propelling this muscle car down the road in style. In their advertising Pontiac had a number of great ads for the GTO's but the slogan that caught our attention is: "Dull driving can get to be a habit. Now- aren't you ready to break away?" This is the perfect car for breaking a dull driving habit. An iconic GTO with bucket seats, a 4 speed, and a big V8 under the hood is just the right formula!
