Description of 1970 Pontiac GTO Judge |
55,932 actual mile survivor. 1 owner until 2017. True #s match throughout. Still has the motor and trans it was born with. 75% original paint. I know the 2nd owner, he is very fussy collector. Documented with copy of window sticker, Pontiac Historical docs and it has the glovebox pouch which includes protect-o-plate, manuals and extra keys. EXTERIOR: Completely original metal in excellent condition. 75% original paint. I will admit, the photos on our website make the paint look like a 10, it is not. It has some patina. Paint has been polished so the surface is glossy but the paint itself has a little cloudy appearance. There are some color variations where it's been touched up. The body panels all fit perfectly well including the rubber nose. It is an original rear spoiler. The original windshield is crystal clear. Window seals and weather strips are very good original. The original judge striping is very good. The original rear bumper has never been rechromed, does have some freckling. It still has the original dealers sticker on the trunk lid. The rally II wheels are original with the original lug nuts and center caps. Judges came without trim rings. These are claimed to be the actual original tires that came on this car, they were taken off and stored. INTERIOR: Mint original condition. The carpet and headliner were replaced. Radio was upgraded to a factory Am-Fm, original am is in the trunk. The original upholstery and door panels are in excellent condition, so is all the trim like the armrests, window cranks, seat backs, headrests, visors, mirror etc. Dash pad is perfect. The instrument panel is pristine- the gauges are perfectly clean, lenses are crystal clear, the knobs, heater control panel, vents are all mint. The console is in excellent shape. Has the original T-handle Hurst shifter. It has the original Pontiac rubber floor mats. ENGINE COMPARTMENT: Has the motor it was born with: a 400-366 hp Ram Air lll. Original components too. Has correct carb. Upgraded HEI distributor, original is in the trunk. Has original complete and functional ram air system, original ram air exhaust manifolds, original chrome valve covers. The motor has never been repainted, left all original. The whole compartment has been cleaned and left original original. Original decal, spring clamp battery cables, X crayon marking on shroud, the heat shield and heat tube going to the air cleaner. TRUNK COMPARTMENT: Perfectly clean original metal with zero rust, patches or repair. The second owner did give it a nice fresh coat of spatter paint. Has a rally ll wheel with polyglass tire for a spare. Has correct jack assembly, working trunk light, mat and tire cover. The paint and decal on the bottom of the trunk lid is original. Jambs are also original with perfectly clean factory spot welds and seams. There is a tub with miscellaneous parts that may have come off the car over the years. UNDERSIDE: The front and rear suspension was completely rebuilt and detailed in correct finishes. New balljoints, bushings, shocks etc. Has the ride and handling package which includes sway bars and boxed control arms. Bottom of the motor was cleaned but not repainted, left original. The vin is located on the lower front of motor, it matches the car. New clutch. The M-20 Muncie is Vin #s matching. The rear end is the original 3.55 posi. Brake system has been redone, new brake lines. E-brake assembly is complete. New fuel tank, sending unit and lines. New dual exhaust system with correct splitter tips. Body was lifted from the frame. New body bushings, frame was cleaned and painted semi gloss. Floors are completely original, dry clean metal. No patches, no repairs, no rot. Lower inner 1/4s are clean and still have drain plugs. This is a beautiful car. The colors in and out with the contrasting Judge stripes really is unique and look sharp. It is rare to find a genuine muscle car that was not used, bruised and abused. This Judge has the look and feel of a nice low mile survivor. You can get a restored car anytime, an opportunity like this only comes along once in a while!
